Something Fun for Movie Lovers

Would you like to know what was the #1 movie on the day you were born? See the trailer? Know the price of a ticket on that day? I found a cool site where you can get all the answers. I'm probably dating myself by saying this, but on the day I was born, the #1 movie was Union Pacific, a black and white western starring Barbara Stanwyck. The ( Read more... )

Oh that's cool! I did the movie - The Buddy Holly Story for $2.34 admission - and the song - With a Little Luck by Wings - and also I was apparently born 19,569,454 mins ago. Fun!

Wow! Judging by the price of admission, you must be a LOT younger than I am. :) Good song. I didn't notice the place where it told how many minutes ago a person was born.

Glad you thought this was fun. I thought my flist would enjoy it.

Oh, that is a wonderful movie. The price of admission was creeping up by the time you were born.

"Love Letters" with Jennifer Jones and Joseph Cotten (never heard of them). Admission was 35 cents. I'm not going to watch it because it's in Italian. :-)

Is your journal always public? Just wondering. I am seeing something new in your journal when I click inside of it: It shows me "recent posts from this journal" and then shows links to several of your older entries. I guess it's a new feature of LJ. I've only seen it in your journal, and I'm thinking it's because your journal is public.

No. Anything I think would be of general interest is, but entries for things like birthday greetings or personal stuff are friends only.

Yes, you now have the option to show 3, 6, or 9 of your other entries and they can be chosen by tags, URL or most recent. I chose NOT to show other entries in the entry posted about my anniversary. The option appears in a section following where you have typed the entry.

I honestly don't know if it would show additional entries if the entry is freinds only or if any of the 3, 6, or 9 additional entries are. I'll have to check that out.

This may be available for paid or permanent accounts only. Is your LJ a paid one?

Yes. Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of that option.

You're welcome. Next time you do an entry, make it public and see if the option appears on your entry page. You can go back and edit the entry to make it friends only afterwards. I make all my entries private to see what they look like (I hate the preview option, never works right for me) then edit to make them either public or friends only.

I put in Elijah's birthdate, and the movie at that time was "9 to 5" and cost $2.69.
