I was a teenager in the 1950s and I remember nearly everything is this video. Even if you were born later, you'll undoubtedly see some familiar things. Ahh, nostalgia. I couldn't embed the video. but you can watch it HERE.
I had skates and a sledge like that. My mum tried to stay slim using a hula hoop and my dad still uses that type writer. You can still buy ink-ribbons for it.
I had a portable typewriter that used ink ribbons until about 15 years ago and the local office supply store still had cloth ribbons for it. I finally gave it to a man who collected old typewriters.
I could never get a hula hoop to work for me. I could never throw a frisbee either. Actually, I'm pretty well coordinated, but those two things I could never do.
I was born in the mid-fifties, but I remember most of these things. OMG, it brings make so many memories. My first pair of skates, the loom, the phone, ice cream trucks, jacks, records, the old typewriters. And I loved animal crackers.
I don't know many of those things but I loved this video. Saving stamps - oh yes! I had many albums :-) and the skates! They look like the one I had. thanks a lot for the video, I enjoyed it very very much. Good old days, right?
