I have been following Cape Breton fiddler, Natalie MacMasters, for years and her Uncle Buddy before her. Natalie married equally talented Irish fiddler, Donnell Leahy, and they now have six children, ages one to ten. The four eldest are well on their way to sharing the amazing talent of their world-class fiddler parents. Here is a recent family ( Read more... )

Here's another cute one where the littlest one is trying to keep up. The two girls with black tights and the boy with the yellow necktie are Natalie and Donnell's kids. The others are nieces and nephews. The first dancer is 12 and the last one is three. Donnell is one of 12 children and they ALL play fiddle, guitar, piano or other stringed instruments and dance. The have created an awesome gene pool. LOL

You're most welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.

I just finished watching S5, E8 "Changing Channels" and immediately thought of you with all the Japanese dialog. Such a clever episode. After tomorrow night, I'll be halfway through the series. Yipee!

Oh yes. How embarrassing is that show! I found the show it was based on and couldn't believe how stupid it was. The popularity of "pain" on game shows has ended, thank God.

A WONDERFUL episode <3<3

Yes, it seemed pretty stupid to me and I don't even speak Japanese. It was obvious that it was a spoof of a real type of TV show.

I love it, too, and this whole family is so talented. Donnell has 11 or 12 siblings and they all play instruments and dance. Natalie's family is smaller, but equally talented. What an amazing gene pool they're created.

How are you doing? I miss seeing you at LJ. How are your boys?

There are a few changes afoot in my life at the moment that are causing me concern. One involves my younger son who has come back home to live! It is only a temporary arrangement (so he says) but I think it could be a while before he is able to move in with his mate. It's a long and complicated saga but already my stress levels are rising as he isn't the easiest of people to live with!

The other concern is for my DIL who is under investigation for a possibly heart problem that has developed during the later stages of her pregnancy. We're all hoping it is nothing serious and that it will settle once the baby arrives which isn't for another seven weeks.

Oh how I wish hubbie was here right now to give us all his much needed and valued advice.....
