TITLE: Sexy Photoshoots that Pi & Ryo Didn't Get (But Weren't Published Anyways)

NOTES: Originally, this was a short drabble of just Shige getting a shoot. But then he decided to strip on Shounen Club. So I made it longer. And then I felt like Koyama, Tegoshi and Masuda needing some lovin' too.

Tegoshi:
Out of all the senpai, Tegoshi admires Pi and Ryo the most. They've nurtured him since NEWS was first formed, even if they didn't talk to Tegoshi much (if at all) back then. Their presence was enough to inspire Tegoshi to work harder and always do his very best. Now that they're all older, that they're back from hiatus, Pi and Ryo take a more hands on approach. Pi and Tegoshi study at the same during breaks, and Shige always gets called over to help explain things. Ryo doesn't take Tegoshi out shopping much anymore, since he trusts the kid's sense about clothing now. But, Ryo doesn't ever say 'no' when Tegoshi wants to go out.
And since the two of them have gotten sexy photoshoots, Tegoshi is determined to follow in their footsteps and get his own sexy photoshoot. The only problem is that no one seems to think he can be sexy.
"But, Tegoshi-kun," the manager says. "You're... cute."
"But I want to be sexy!" He pouts. "Ryo-chan and Pi get to be sexy."
"That's their whole image. Sexiness."
Tegoshi keeps pouting, and finally the manager gives in and leaves to find a photographer and interested magazine.
For the shoot, Tegoshi spends an hour lying a bed on a set, giving the camera bedroom eyes. The photographer is an older man, and he seems kind of weary at first and asks Tegoshi several times if he's sure he wants a shoot like this. But Tegoshi is sure and the photographer has already been paid, so he sighs and starts taking pictures.
The photos turn out quite well considering the hesitant photographer. Tegoshi does look sexy, but Ryo laughs when he seems them.
"You're trying so hard! Look at that face!"
Tegoshi smiles, knowing that it's only Ryo's way of saying, "I'm still sexier than you."
Everyday, Tegoshi asks the manager when the photos are going to be published and he always tells Tegoshi to be patient. After a week or so, the manager pulls Tegoshi out of rehearsal and into the conference room where there are two detectives.
"Tegoshi-kun, please have a seat."
"I haven't done anything!"
"Please sit."
Tegoshi does and desperately wishes that Ryo or Koyama would come busting in through the door and defend him. But they don't, and Tegoshi sees all his work over the years going down the toilet.
"Tegoshi-kun, these photographs." One of the detectives throws several of Tegoshi's sexy photoshoot pictures on the table. "Are not appropriate. Tell us, what was the photographer like when he was taking the pictures?"
"Um... he asked me a lot if I really wanted the shoot."
"And did you Tegoshi-kun? Or did he cajole you into it?"
Tegoshi cocks his head. "What?"
The manager sighs. "The photographer is being investigated for child pornography."
"What?!"
"Tegoshi-kun, how you do feel about testifying?"
"But I'm 20! I'm an adult!"
The detectives both freeze and regard Tegoshi for a minute. One of them turns to the manager.
"He's not serious."
"How many times do we have to tell you? Tegoshi-kun is 20 years old."
In the end, after showing them Tegoshi's driver's license and a copy of his birth certifcate, the detectives leave and the photographer is released, but Johnny decides it's not a good idea to let the photos by published.
"This never got out to the press," he says. "But if the police department made this mistake, who knows what other groups will too. When you look older Tegoshi-kun, you can have a sexy photoshoot."
Tegoshi pouts and makes Pi buy him lunch so he'll feel better.

Koyama:
After the Tegoshi not-scandal, the managers get much stricter about who is allowed to have a sexy photoshoot. They go through several of the different idols, debating who would be the best.
"What about Koyama-kun?" One suggests.
The others give him a strange looks.
"...Koyama-kun? Really?"
"Well, every knows he's graduated and is an adult now. It was on the news when he got his diploma and everything."
"He's got a point." Another speaks up. "there won't be any problems with the adult thing..."
"But, it's Koyama-kun. He doesn't exactly... give off the sexy aura."
"He's a Johnny's idol. He can be sexy."
So, it's decided - Koyama will have a sexy photoshoot.
"Eh?! Really?" Koyama flails and grabs Shige. "I'm sexy, Shige!"
"You're a spaz." Shige shakes his arm, but Koyama doesn't let go.
"This means I'm like Pi and Ryo-chan! People think I'm sexy!!"
Pi and Massu congratulate Koyama, and Tegoshi pouts, still wanting his photoshoot to be published and Ryo even looks mildly impressed.
The shoot isn't as risque as Pi's; it's more similar to Ryo's - underwear and no shirt with sultry looks. It actually takes quite a while, because Koyama can't keep a straight face for more than a few minutes and everything has to stop he can get the giggles out. And during breaks, Koyama muses to himself about how great it would be if every one in NEWS got a sexy photoshoot. They'd have another bond! And then he thinks about how awkward it could potentially be if they all had a sexy photoshoot together.
After a few weeks, all the photos are developed, the ones for the magazine are picked, Koyama does the accompanying interview and it's all put together. As is standard, a few tests are printed out and shown to various test groups to see if there's anything that would be better left out. And there is.
"It's kind of strange, isn't it?" A girl says, pointing to a pictures of Koyama looking sexy. "To see Kei-chan doing something like that."
"It's weird seeing a big brother-figure in that kind of light..."
"There should be a shoot of Kei-chan playing with kittens. Ah, that would be really cute!"
The editors sit down, read the comments, and all come to the same conclusion - Koyama's photos need to be pulled. When the manager tells him, Koyama is actually a little relieved.
"Acting sexy is a lot of work! What if people starting expecting that of me? I don't think I ccould keep up."
From the other side of the room, Ryo says, "It's not work at all if you're naturally sexy."
"I'll leave the sexiness to you and Pi then."
"But being sexy is the best! What else is there for Kei-chan?" Tegoshi asks.
Koyama smiles and pulls Tegoshi into a hug. "Spreading member love!!"

Masuda:
Sexy Johnny's photoshoots are good for sales, so magazines call a lot, trying to get the managers to find some one who's interested or would be good for it.
"A surprise would be good." says one editor, "Every one knows Akanishi-kun, Yamashita-kun and Nishikido-kun are sexy, but I'm sure there are others who are less well-known but are just as equally good looking. One of them would be good."
So the managers mull over it and when Masuda's name comes up, no one really knows what to say.
"He's... very agreeable, isn't he? Masuda-kun."
"Um, yeah. He does work out a lot. I guess that would be good."
When they call the editor back with the idea, he says, "Masuda-kun?.... Oh! The one that was in the duet group with Tegoshi-kun!". And the next week, Masuda is at the beach with a photographer having gracious shirtless-and-low-riding-shorts pictures taken.
Test versions are printed out, like with Koyama, but girls only have good things to say.
"That's what Masuda looks like under his clothes?! Why hasn't this shoot been done sooner?"
"A handsome face, a nice personality and an amazing body - what more could a girl ask for!"
"It's official. Masuda is my new favorite Johnny."
Everything is looking good for the magazine to be finalized until the last test group - men, 18-30 - is shown the photos.
"Oh," one says. "Is this what girls expect in a guy now?"
"It certainly seems like a lot of work. I don't have so much free time to go work out."
"All Johnny's does is make girls have unreasonable expectations for the rest of us guys! My life would be so much easier if I didn't have to deal with being constantly compared to them."
The editors all sit around, debating.
"We shouldn't worry about what the men had to say. Just publish everything."
"But men make up almost a quarter of the sales! We have to be careful about this. We shouldn't do anything to anger them and drive them away from future purchases."
"Well, we have to figure out if the extra sales will balance out the lack of sales to men. Now and in the future."
Accountants are called in and they analyze everything and finally come to the conclusion that the loss is sales won't be made up. Publishing the Masuda photoshoots will have negative consequences. So, it's scrapped.
"Poor, Massu." Tegoshi hands him an onigiri. "Your's got tossed too. It's so sad. If it's not Ryo-chan or Pi then it doesn't make it into the magazines."
"But, it's better to be ourselves, Tego-nyan!" Koyama says.
"The photoshoot was a lot of fun though!" Masuda says between bites. "I got to spend the whole day at the beach!"

Shige:
After Sugata Sanshirou is broadcast, Johnny's gets a call from a magazine interested in having Shige for a photoshoot.
"He's good-looking in a casual manner, which is different from the flashier idols. Katou-kun made a good impression on us from the drama special."
The managers are, honestly, stunned. Katou-kun was the last person they expected to get this kind of call about, but they accept and tell Shige about the plan.
"Yay!" Koyama shouts. "Shige, you get to have a sexy photoshoot!"
"Maybe you'll get to go some where fun for yours." Masuda smiles.
"Maybe it'll actually get published," Tegoshi says.
"This isn't the usual kind of shoot for Shige, huh?" Yamashita says from over by the mirror. "Don't get too nervous about it. Act natural."
Ryo laughs, "'Act natural' for Shige is taking a book and reading for the entire shoot. Shige's boring when he's being natural. Act sexy."
Shige frowns. "I know that."
The photoshoot is on a normal kind of set - nothing interesting like Masuda's shoot. It has a middle-eastern tone to it, with a lot of pillows and drapping sheets in maroon, navy blue and gold tones and a hookah in the one corner. Shige feels a little out of place, since this isn't the kind of solo shoots he normally gets. Usually, there are a few books around and he has his glasses on, and maybe he's outside. But all he has are the pillows and the sheets, the sarong around his hips and a few gold bangles on his left wrist. Shige does his best to act sexy, but it is a lot of work like Koyama had said. The photographer gives him plenty of breaks though, and Shige uses the time to stand in front of a mirror and practices looks.
All the test groups give the shoot a thumbs up and every thing looks like it's going well. Until the pre-print version is sent to Johnny and he decides to pull the shoot.
"But why? Every one liked it," the manager asks, but he's ignored.
"YOU." Johnny points to Shige. "Are like a secret weapon. And secret weapons are only to be used when the timing is absolutely perfect."
