TITLE: Made For You PAIRING: Massu/Shigemi RATING: PG WORD COUNT: 7,382 SUMMARY: After years of avoiding the trend, Massu is given a mannequin -- a lab-made pseudo-person.
I don't even like Massu/Shige(mi) romantically but when I saw the summary, I couldnt resist, mannequin idea is interesting ;)
The idea of broker Massu is sexy, I always have a thing when kind gentlemanly man goes all authoritative for work. I am positive Shigemi is pretty and looks great with Massu.^^
The idea of Ryo wanting to Recall Shigemi is scary, even though it is the socially correct thing to do in the story. I'm glad that Massu took Shigemi away.
Such an interesting read ^^ I quite liked Massu here, despite feeling slightly occ for me personally. That might be because usually when I read him (from you) he's not entirely central to the plot.
Hm, come to think of it, I hardly read Massu fics at all XD
If there's something that I like about your AUs is the way you build them. You really think outside the box and in your AUs explore diverse possibilities. And how you put your characters in conflict against regulations/establishmnet/"normalcry" that I find really interesting.
I'm not that much into MassuShige, but the idea was enthralling. And you can't say no to Shigemi. Maybe because this mannequin idea makes me think about E.T.A. Hoffmann, and it's a weakness of mine.
I enjoyed the developement of the story and the subtle way you related your characters in lines like Pi crouches on the floor, and feels almost guilty about what he's going to say, like there's some kind of mannequin confidentiality agreement. But, more than that, he knows Ryo would be upset if he knew he'd been lied to, and to Pi, Ryo will always come first. It says a lot because in we can know much about Ryo's relationship with his mannequins even when they're not the central characters

Wow... just ... wow! This is really something... i'm mesmerized completely! I was engaged throughout the whole piece and I love how you played out Shigemi and Massu. Simple and delicate. Nothing over powering. (i didn't feel like i was watching awkward!Massu or goofy!Massu, which i quite enjoyed A LOT). Just simply beautiful. I'd have to say the relationship you created with Ryo and his Mannequins has got to be my favourite

Fantastic. This is not at all what I was expecting (but not surprising, either, from you.) It was short and sweet and very well done. I really like how delicately you dealt with Shigemi's half-human status, how you subtly pointed out just how human she was. More especially I loved the world you built in which society had come to this point of discriminating against female mannequins, so much so that it was just a given that an owner would not want a female. The tie-in with that and female mannequins being blamed for Japan's lowered birthrate was an excellent jump. In short. Great job. They know he just ordered a mannequin based on the building he was in, and they're judging him to be a high-class, wealthy sort of person, because it's the best lab in the whole damn country. Agh. This world. You did a wonderful job setting up some of the society's values in such a short space.
A nurse walks into the examination room with a tray of syringes and needles. The mannequin frowns and scoots away on the bed. This is one of those
