Escalation inside does not help with escalation outside. If we need to hurry up, we usually need to slow down internally. If we must face what feels like external opposition, internal violence is of no help ( Read more... )

It's interesting what that feels like after being more or less living in my center for the past few years. The last two weeks have been more challenging, practice has slipped, and yes, internally it feels like spinning, like falling forward up an escalator! Off to sit... and make kala, of course.
