i got my compiler book from the co-op today. it has a picture of a dragon with the words "Complexity of Compiler Design" on it, and a knight with the words "Syntax Directed Translation" fighting the dragon with a sword. i think this may just be the nerdiest class i've ever taken

so somebody threw a shoe at the president. it's kind of funny how much of a story is made of this. hopefully the guy won't become something like joe the plumber and instead becomes something which inspires people to something better
