Mingle and duel~

[Today's general play is no different from usual, really. The layout is still just as basic cozy.

Only, the host's procured a laptop. With internet access, no less - maybe he bribed an NPC?]

March listings... What do you mean, they're banning Spore?!

[If you're lucky enough to live in a world without this sort of meddling, do feel free to play on. ( Read more... )

Someone in a mask might sound familiar.

"...You have bans on your monsters?"

Regrettably. Still, at least I won't make the mistake of running plants when I get home. For all of three months, before Konami obliterates them.

[So familiar that ranting at him seems to come naturally. It helps that Ludo hasn't yet looked up.]

Looking at the list...

"...They've certainly increased in number..."

You don't say. Though, you'll be happy to note that you can still sell your Envoy, B-

[Ignore that slip up? Ludo turns to stare at Lillium. Unless his version of Bakura has taken up cosplay as a hobby, it probably isn't him.]

-banned?

[Hey Ludo. Yuumi's come up while you were nice and distracted by your laptop.

And looks soundly confused by the outburst - so much her initial "look who it is" shock passed.]

Is that a computer game you like?

[His initial shock is fading somewhat less quickly than hers.

...But, you know, staring is rude. Even when your cousin/ close friend is suddenly and inexplicably female.]

No. It's... Duel Monsters.

[Even better: she's wearing a Puzzle. Female Ludo?]

[-now, which causes more confusion... The surprise sparks a belated uncertainty from her, wondering if he's a newer arrival than she thought, or if there's something about her that sticks out. (Like, the lack of a puzzle on him.)

But. The mention of that game, so new to her-]

Oh- it's banned? Or, now, you said "Spore" didn't you...

Is this place setting strange rules about the game?

No, just my home world. [Slowly recovering. Slowly.] The more cards are made, the more loopholes there are in the game. So, sometimes, cards have to be banned from tournament play.

[Which all makes it sound very logical and efficient, but the computer screen is still being glared at.]
