Shadow Half-Rampage of the Posess'd Darkness
[Well. This is strange. A very large tree has sprung up outside the DR.]
[However...there is something...different...about this tree. For one thing, it appears to be dead, the bark blackened like the deepest night. The branches are barren of any vegetation, and the limbs are skeletal, almost ghastly looking. When the wind blows through them, the howling noise created sounds horribly like labored breathing...]
[An aura of some sort of dark force seems to be hovering around it. The area where the extensive, thick, blackened roots have buried themselves seems to be drained of life, all plant life dead. The sky around the tree is dark and cloudy as a stormy night.]
[Silver colored lines seem to be ornately scrawled around the tree in a strange pattern, looking very much like blood vessels...the lines themselves seem to pulsate and glow with an eerie light that flickers to a rhythmic pulse...almost like...a heartbeat...]
[If one looks up near the top of the skeletal branches, they'll see a cloaked figure prowling across the limbs, his glowing purple eyes raking the grounds, looking rather like an owl searching for prey...]
[It appears to be Gemini Black up there! But...there's something not right-his brother, Gemini White, is not with him. What could have happened to separate the (literally) unseperable twins...?]
[Gemini Black seems to be acting rather strangely without his brother's presence around. Not only are his eyes glowing a vivid purple, but there seems to be something spectral penetrating his chest through his heart...it appears to be a near translucent silver root that extends from the tree. His manner...there are often dark smirks flitting across his face from time to time, which is unusual considering that he often never smiled-he was unable to feel the emotion of happiness...]
[What on Earth is going on?]
[[OOC: So here's the basic idea. Because Yuusei had lost his memory, he didn't know that he had to restrain his brother, keep him from giving in to the Earthbound God's power. He acted as the conscience that Ryuusei didn't have. After meeting up with Lynx, who challeneged them to a duel, Ryuusei's god sensed the duel commencing and used that opportunity to break through the self-control that was rendered fragile due to Yuusei's memory loss. Where exactly is Yuusei? That won't be found out until the Light Half post, which will occur one "DR day" after this post.
If muns choose to send their pups near the tree, it will attempt what the mun has dubbed "root raep". Basically, one of roots will rise from the ground and will attempt to stab the pup in the heart. Instead of killing the pup, however, the root will infilitrate the pup's body, and will gag them-i.e. the roots will emerge from their mouth and cover it. The pup will then be forced to relive their worst memories, and, if their mun chooses to not free them (or have Ryuu release them if he thinks their despair is petty and not strong enough), they will be dragged into the tree for use in the Light Half post. If one wants to inquire further as to what actually happens to the pup, I'll be putting up a post on these fellows' journal to answer questions. If they do get pulled in, you can still use them in other posts tho', just forward them one DR day. If their mun also wishes, they can have their pup sneak inside the tree on their own, through holes in the base of the roots. However, if the pup does so, the thread will end, and continue in the Light Half post.]
