Because I am bored

Stolen from Jie, who stole it from Helen, who stole it from someone else. Bold those you've read, italicise the ones you want to read. Leave the ones you've never heard of normal.

32. The Notebook (Nicholas Sparks)<-- I have rarely read anything so bad, i.e. Suzy would probably like it

Brilliant.

Also, you do not want to read the Bourne Identity unless you like any of the following:
-hero always wins
-hero is unstoppable force that can even topple immovable objects
-there is always a deus ex machina (pisses me off)
-hero's woman is a latent heroine (and often the deus ex machina)

Man, that was a bad read. :( Other than that, the plot was alright. Imagine Dan Brown but written a hell of a lot better with better plot. Hm.

I had to look up deus ex machina, but don't tell anyone.

My mind is busy boggling at the last line. But! if you promise not to read the Notebook, I promise not to read the Bourne Identity. We can recommend them both to Suzy instead!

I don't think I'd have much problem with that. The film didn't even attract my interest - and you know the things I watch...I think Suzy might like both. =_____="

So this is what goes on in my absence. I'll have you know I've read the Notebook and disliked it immensely.

Your recommendation warms my heart though. XD

1. How DARE you badmouth Khaled Hosseini. HOW DARE YOU! Although, I must admit I haven't read The Kite Runner, but I'll be on to it. I will! I really really REALLY enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Suns. I don't know if that's just because of my obsession with Afghanistan, but I still thought it was well written.

2. Bible? Yep, same thing happened to me. Except I didn't lose it. I gave it to my dad... on Eid? He hit me with it. It's in my cupboard now. Days are good.

3. Ho hum, what else was I going to say? Oh yeah.
LIFE OF PI! FTW! Although I wonder if that's a spin-off of David Blatner's Joy of Pi? Who knows. Either way, here's the website: http://www.joyofpi.com/

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.

Okay *breathes* I LOVE the joy of pi. It is teh best book ever!!! I have read it all. It is way, way, too good to be allowed. I quoted it in my TOK essay, it was that good!!!!!!!!!!111one1 Consequently, I think it's time to read Life of pi. Because anything that may or may not be related to Joy of pi has to be a masterpiece.

Yes. ahem. I thought the Kite Runner was excessively badly written. It was a waste of my hard-earned money.

I hope you did not sustain too serious a bible-related injury.
