Thoughts on the Election

The ecstatic joy I thought I would feel if Howard lost still hasn't arrived. Actually, for once I both pity him and respect him greatly. It's because of the speech he made when he conceded defeat - he looked and sounded like he was about to start bawling. Tis sad. :( That's why I hated the newspapers for a long time afterwards. Wait. What am I saying? I still hate them. I don't think "Howard Humiliated" is exactly appropriate - just proves my point that politics is an ugly pastime and that journalists are sharks.

The papers sure sold fast the day after Election Day. And the photos on the front of... The Age, I think, or maybe the Australian, were so... deliberately chosen.
