things, and things.
I'm working on a post about fashion and style... it will be cool, but it's not quite ready yet.
I just felt like blabbing for a while, so I'm not going to wait to post that^ one to talk randomly about stuff.
- Break has been awesome. I actually feel refreshed and rested. I remember last year I felt like I didn't have enough time to catch my breath before school started again, but it doesn't feel like that now.
- Baby (nephew) is coming! Soon! I am (and we are all) so excited to meet him. Zach and Michelle are all ready, pretty much, and it could basically be any day now. We threw two baby showers in about a week (last one was two nights ago), and they were both lovely, and we had a lot of fun with them. It's nice to be done with those, though, and I'm really glad we made it through them before she delivered. :)
- I'm actually excited about school starting. Which is this Tuesday. It'll be really great to see my friends again, and to get back in the swing of things (classes and campus, and lessons and dancing and projects). I'm not looking forward to the sleepless nights (or rather, mornings). But maybe I can do better about getting my work done this semester, and actually sleep well! Another thing that is kind of exciting, but also nerve-racking, is that our portfolio reviews are coming up this semester. I need to get mine ready, and then prepare to speak to the different programs about why they should accept me. And then, we find out our fate... but that's not for a few weeks at least. Wow, when I say it like that, it's coming up really soon! Anyway--in general, I'm quite excited to be going back to school. And that makes me feel confident in the degree I am pursuing - it's obviously something I'm passionate about.
- I just went reading through the most recent of my LJ posts, and I find that I like to read my writing. I don't think I'll ever win a Pulitzer or anything, but I, personally, like to read the way I write. I guess that makes sense, heh.
- I recently purchased Adobe Creative Suite 4, Design Premium, and it makes me very happy. Happy that I got it for $306 (student discount) instead of $1900; happy that I can now use Photoshop and InDesign and Illustrator whenever I want. Happy. Although I think the new color scheme is more ugly... I haven't worked with the programs enough to figure out any other critiques.
- Last night MiJo came over, and we watched the first half of the BBC's Robin Hood: Series 1. I love that show! I'm so glad she likes it, too! So, that was fun. And I love Robin Hood (BBC version).
- Today I spent watching TV. Mostly America's Next Top Model: Cycle 10. It was lovely, until the last two episodes when they kicked off the wrong persons... anyway, we also had a family movie night (The Great Race), which was lovely!
- I want to see Defiance, with Daniel Craig and Jamie Bell! It's a WWII movie, so of course I want to see it... but it also looks quite good. And it has some good actors in it, so even better. We might go see it tomorrow night. Call me if you want to come (and somehow miraculously see this before then...)
