I'M ON BREAK :D And it feels so good. I just slept for 13 hours. It was amazing.

Erick (mine brother) is coming home tonight! For the whole week! I am so happy. It's gonna be a really nice relaxed Thanksgiving week, and I SOOO need that right now.

Note: I started this the other day, so some answers are from then and some are from now. Where you see "BEFORE" and "NOW", it's where I wanted to write a new one but keep the old one, too. woo.

FIRST: If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new, original question.

SECOND: Tag eight sexy people. Don't refuse to do that like a pansy. Unless you really don't want to of course. And if you're not tagged and you want to do it, then do!

Who sleeps in bed next to you?
Sometimes my stuffed monkey, Louis. Usually, no one at all because poor Louis keeps ending up on the floor.

What did you last eat?
BEFORE: Mushroom stroganoff w/ chicken from Noodles & Co. mmm, noodles...
NOW: I haven't had breakfast yet, so it was after-dinner snacks last night at Zach and Michelle's (as I was explaining the story of the Twilight saga. It sounds EVEN WORSE when you're describing it in short, haha). Pringles with cream cheese, and apple cider.

What kind of books do you read?
ALL OF THEM :) I love reading so much. In the last few years, I've gotten a little bit lazy and it's mostly sci-fi/fantasy, good romances (Georgette Heyer, I love you), and YA. I also love classics (Dickens, Dumas, Austen, etc), and I'm starting to get into non-fiction a bit more. Just read Craig Ferguson's newish book, and I loved it. [Not the kind of non-fiction you were thinking? hehe]

What are you reading right now?
I have been so busy I'm not really reading anything at the moment! :( I mean, I am, but nothing that I'm really into. I'm re-reading/carrying around Beauty (Robin McKinley, love)... and honestly, it's sad how busy I've been cause that's all I can think of. OH I'm kind of reading this book I borrowed from my cousin, it's the second in a historical fiction series about Mughal India, and it's cool! Called “The Feast of Roses”, by Indu Sundaresan.

If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?
England. Or Scotland. Or Ireland. I want to go soooooooo baaaaaaaad.

What's really awesome?
Stars. I love coming home, and getting out of my car to walk to the door, and just being smacked in the face without gorgeous the night sky is (on a clear clear night). We live out in the country, and sometimes it just takes me breath away, it's so lovely.

Name one odd item within five feet of you.
A sextant. It's awesome! It's a real sextant, kind of small. My Dad brought it back for me one time when he was at Cape Cod, and I love it. It's on my bookcase next to my bed.

What's your current fandom / obsession / addiction?
Mmmm, tie between thenewno2/Dhani and Oren Lavie. After going to thenewno2's show, I've gotten quite into their music, and them as a band. The more I listen to Oren Lavie's music, the more I love it, AND I was googling him the other day AND LOOK HOW PRETTY HE IS

Also, I'm still chuffed that he emailed me back! :D so sweet, and funny and clever. And I liked his loose relationship to capitalization.

What did you really want to do today that you didn't?
BEFORE: Watch the rest of the episodes of Merlin Series 1 that I have downloaded but can't watch because SCHOOL URGH.
NOW: nothing :) I am now on break, and today is all about doing things I want to! So far: sleep in and then frolic around the internet to my hearts desire. Though I do need to get up and shower/eat/clean out my car so I can go pick Erick up later...

What are you most excited for?
Various trips that I think are going to happen in the next few years. I'm definitely going to the west coast with Melinda this winter, yay! And I really want to make a UK trip happen next summer, or the one after that. Visit the Needhams, visit Kat! Get to know England for real, go to Ireland, France... ahhh I need it. AND HERRANG :) Jeanette and Silvia and I are TOTALLY going to Herrang sometime in the next 3 years or so. Herrang is an awesome, amazing, week long Lindy Hop dance camp in Sweden; with the world's best teachers, and dancers, and people from all over the world. I can't wait. OH and I really want to take a road trip out to the East coast soon. I want to go to NYC and visit Will and Stephanie, and go to Massachusetts and visit Mark and Brittany and Bekah, and Catherine. I neeeed to!

What websites do you always visit when you go online?
Gmail (which has all my various email addresses), facebook, twitter. Lately, ontd_beatles and regular ONTD.

What was the last thing you bought?
BEFORE: “Please Please Me”, remastered cd, The Beatles. ...because I had to go early before class to Best Buy to buy an SDHC card for a class, that DIDN'T EVEN END UP WORKING, URG.
NOW: I totally bought “Let It Roll”, a George Harrison compilation from itunes the other night, after all that solo-y confession goodness on ontd_beatles. I really like it!

If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
In a big old house with lots of nooks and crannies, and secret rooms and passages and history, in England, Scotland, or Ireland (noticing a trend?). There will be a stream of some sort that goes through the woods of some sort on the property. I live there with my adorably accented and awesome husband, and our adorable kiddies.

What do you want right this minute, off the top of your head?
The other day I said: This paper to be done! [It's now done PRAISE JESUS]
Now: food. I am huuungry!

Where is the place you like to return to in order to calm down/relax/etc?
Big picture: Florida. Our family goes to the same place for vacation every year, in south Florida right on the beach, and it's wonderful. A year without Florida is like a week without Sunday.
Everyday: the bathtub. I love taking baths. They're so relaxing and wonderful.

Name a movie you love, FIRST ONE YOU THINK OF.
Pride and Prejudice, the new version.
Huh, funny, definitely the first one I thought of, but I probably wouldn't have picked it otherwise. I do love it though! It's a movie that I watch over and over again. Comfort food movie.

Are there any bits of childhood that you miss?
All of us siblings living together. The joy that small things bring you when you're little, like chasing fireflies and christmas morning. Having time to read constantly!

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter?
Autumn. I love the fall. Love the colors, and how the holidays are coming soon, and fall-ish things like hot cider and sweaters and socks and rain. I love the rain.

Say something to the person who tagged you.
HAY GURL HAY! Still glad you tagged me. :) I'm also glad that the internet and the beatles brought us together. You are my second friend named Emily Rose, which I think is crazy/cool. Hmm... kind of out of random thoughts. How's your wrist doing? ALSO. What piece of music/movie would you recommend to me, that I might not have heard/seen? GO.

I tag: semiprosaic, carriekate, auddiegirl7, captainxamanda, sothestory_goes, aliciamichelle, albion_lass, ctballer
