My history final paper is based off on a silent film called "Broken Blossoms", made in 1919. I am relating it to the general American reaction towards Chinese miscegenation in the early 20th century.

This may be the first time that I am blushing while writing a final paper.....

I was going to donate blood today; however, after they pricked me for a drop of blood and went through my personal history, I told them that I had been in Hong Kong 2 years ago. They checked, and apparently there is a minimal risk of malaria there.

So... I have to wait another 3 years to be a blood donar. Ah well.
