Nettles with a different bite

The apt. smells like nettles, lemon and ginger. I've started the process for nettle beer by combining various recipes I've found on the net. Now the boiling commences followed by straining, cooling and adding yeast. I thought I could come up with a natural ferment to start the beer mix, but, alas the fermented nettle batch, I tried starting last ( Read more... )

The nettle recipes compared to the ginger beer ones seem to indicate that it's non-alcholic, (both are similar in water to sugar to acid ratio) however am not 100% sure on this. The only way to know will be to get a hydrometer and check.

You rock my world in so many ways. I am glad I thought to tell you about nettle beer. I wish I could drink it, but meh on the alcohol for me.

You headed to the graduation this week? If not, you could come up with Phil and Erynn on Thursday...

Thursday is my last day of work. If I manage to get out early I'd love to come up. Unfortunately I won't know until the day of. 5 is quitting time, so if I work the full day I will not be able to make it. *le sigh*
