In these present times, the act of being sincere has been lost.  People say a lot of things they don't mean and build upon bogus ideas to stimulate the ears of others.  Mostly it's dismissed as humor but sincerity is quickly fading.

one racist comment at me while I was crammed like sardines on a busy street in DC after the swearing in: "go back to Asia" by a black lady when the traffic inevitably bumped me into her. Fucker.
