I think you are selling yourself a bit short. Considering your very strong convictions on some subjects, you manage to discuss things in a very reasoned way. Honestly this is why I enjoy disagreeing with you as much as a more fun discussion. You help me to understand your thoughts and feelings. Sometimes this simply yield understanding of a person not me, something I find deeply valuable. Sometimes, you've caused me to rethink my own positions.

I still get wound up and try to defend positions from emotion rather than rational thought...and it helps that I have a lot of respect for you, your views and like you quite a lot in the bargain. When it's "just some person" on Le Twittah or FB, I do tend to be a bit of a douchebag at times (at least in my own eyes...)

And you make me think a lot, George. A tremendous gift...
