Jim and I have been working on some of the songs I've been writing lately... I think they are fairly good... i'll post some soundfiles in the next day or so so you can all pick them apart.
While there is something to be said for raw thought and idea, I have come to realize that it is not always a good idea to share the begining stages of work. Just like its bad for babies to be born before they have developed fully it can be bad news for an artistic endeavor to be exposed to criticism before it has been fully formulated.
Ultimately you can do whatever works best for you. But considder that if you always seek feedback on something before you feel some sense of completion for yourself then you run the risk of allowing others to distort your intentions. Sometimes a bit of feedback is helpfull to let you know if your on the right track, but a work of art should ultimately be what you intend and not what others want to hear or see.
I'm glad to hear you and Jim are still working on music even though Jarred bailed and I moved. Did the base dissapear too?
