I know exactly how you feel, you've seen a ton of posts from MY end about the exact same thing. A lot of exams don't seem like much to someone that's not taking them, but when you're the one taking them or have a ton of deadlines coming up, it's the WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD. *HUG*
For better or worse, time will go on and these will be over soon. :( Hopefully you can do well!
Dude, I sympathize completely. Even though I'm actually not doing as much work this semester than I have in the past, it feels like it. Partially because I'm working 25-30 hours a week at the campus bookstore, partially because I just want to be the fuck out of college right now. Oh, and then there's the stress about job-hunting and how dismal the job market is right now (what's U-6 at right now, 16.7%?)
But hang in there, man, I'm sure you'll come out alright. I mean, if you put up with Bryan for that long, I'm sure you can get through this, douchebag sensei or no.
PS: What is SEE? Are you trying to say "see" or does it stand for something?
Sorry this took so long to reply to DXyinsteveNovember 1 2010, 06:49:22 UTC
Hellz yeah job hunting. I can say that I am not looking forward to that if JET falls through as I have not idea what else I'd like to do for the time being. Maybe translation work, but I'd still have to find somewhere willing to hire.
SEE means Signing Exact English and is more of a manual code for the English language to be used for teaching deaf children. While it was developed in conjunction with deaf people, it's very unwieldy and not used outside of teaching. It's the fact that it's not really used outside of schools that pisses me off the most I think.
Hang in there! If I were there I would do anything and everything in my power to help relieve the stresses in your life right now, but all I can do is cheer you on from the sidelines. Just know that I'm here to cheer you on as loud and obnoxious and with as much love as you need ♥ Something that gets me through tough moments in life is reminding myself that "this too shall pass", that it's just a series of moments I need to get through in order to find the good moments that I actually want to live in. You can make it through these moments, I just know it /hugs
Ick. That's a pretty disgusting schedule, but I can most certainly sympathize from my time as a senior. I'd love to help you out. If you have any questions or requests regarding Japanese or JET in particular, I'd be more than willing to assist. Like if you need someone to proof your statement of intent or something. Please, shoot me an email if there's anything I can do.
