somehow i didn't even know that this movie existed until a few weeks ago but ever since then i've had a one-track mind...well, two. track one: continue to do everything that is necessary for survival, and track two: OMGCORALINE. so of course i had to see it tonight, the night of it's birth

the concpet of that movie terrfies me, i think. doesn't she like wind up in a magical place at the other end of "door that leads to spaces that contain things which, based on the outside of the structure, could not contain what it is they contain" and it rocks at first and they're all like oh we've been waiting for you. but then they have like the souls of other little girls trapped in a room? thats what i gathered from the commercial, ha.

It turns out its based on a Neil Gaiman story, which I've been meaning to hunt down since I found that out...which explains why its actually and truly freaky. That man is twisted.
