ACK! How dare you bring reality into my beloved fandom fantasies! ^_^ Seriously tho, excellent fic. Angst out the ying-yang tho. :( It's so very hard seeing Ed suffering thru so much and knowing it will never get any better, not really anyway, not in the ways that matter - i.e. public opinion and discrimination. The "lyin' to yourself" and vowing to be something you're not just kills me. :( Your clueless Roy is spot on. Why straight men seem to have as much trouble with the concept of being gay as they do I will never understand. :/ Very much looking forward to the conclusion of this! *crosses fingers that Ed's future isn't completely ruined by this disaster*

Aww, you know, I've gotten a lot of that response -- here and on ff.net -- and it's something I didn't even think about! I appreciate that fanfiction is fantasy fodder, and I don't mean to rain on people's parades with my soul-crushing reality problems! XD I just like angst too much for my own good.

Clueless!Roy is so fun. I like imagining his brainsplosion facial expressions during some especially gay thoughts; they're priceless.

Ed's future could never be ruined with people like Roy and Riza and Al in his life! That being said, I'm going to make him as miserable as possible in the meanwhile. ;D Thanks for reading. Glad you enjoyed!

Yeah, blah, military bullshit. I was writing this during the summer, when there was a lot of DADT bullshit going on. It was very inspirational. Thanks for reading! Glad you enjoyed!

Oh. Oh wow. This was very well written and impressive. The dynamics between the characters were excellent, with a nice series of solid emotional gutpunches. I really can't say much beyond what others have said here, I'll be waiting for the conclusion to this.
