YJ decides to play strip poker goldfish (because Kaldur, SB and M'Gann don't know how to play poker, but they want it to be fair). KF originally doesn't want ot play, but he's convinces it'll be good for team bonding, and kind of coerced into playing. (Like, peer-pressure style, not non-con style). Everyone agrees, and goes to put on as much clothing as they can stand.

Later in the night, KF is losing. Horribly. One fore round, and he'll lose his shirt... And that scares him. Because if he takes off his shirt, everyone will see his bruises.

Why did he think this was a good idea, again?

The way I see it, his bruises can either be from a) him doing extra training to compensate for the fact that he keeps getting mega-hurt in the series, or the KF tradition of an abusive father. Either way is fine. Bonus for team cuddling at the end. ^_~

Author's notes: Contains allusions to - physical abuse in the form of both beatings and starvation, verbal and emotional abuse and neglect. Also contains mentions of alcohol abuse, self harm and mentions, in some detail, injuries. Do not read if mentions of these upset you/are triggers Wally looks down at his cards and silently curses. He hasn't had a good hand since the second one, each seeming to get progressively worse. He's down to his pants and his final shirt, strategically long sleeved. He knows his hand, his actual hand, not his cards, is shaking, but no one seems to notice, too busy with laughing, Robin trying to explain, again, the idea of 'knowing when to fold 'em' to Superboy. Superboy is struggling with the idea, actually looking somewhat offended by the idea of giving up ( ... )

It takes about five minutes to calm Wally's outright sobs, a lifetime when it comes to Wally. He continues to cry silently though, face buried in still-injured hands as he sits curled on the couch, completely unwilling to be touched. Robin and Megan are hovering over him, the martian wringing her hands in worry and Robin only a few seconds behind her ( ... )
