It seems to crash with a vengeance against the roof of Wayne Manor, lashing angrily at the window that Wally ninja'd through earlier. Not that he thought he'd evade the manor's surveillance, he just wanted to surprise Dick on his eighteenth birthday. The Boy Wonder is now officially old enough to legally do just about anything except get drunk.
But they have Roy for that.
It's been raining for three days with occasional bouts of thunder and lightning, and even at superspeed, Wally was drenched to the bone before he even got to the shelter of Dick's window ledge. He remarks on that, as he sits shivering on the edge of the bed and letting the brunette towel his hair dry.
"The sun always shines in Gotham," he says solemnly, "but clouds are usually in the way." His point is emphasized by a bolt of lightning outside and a mild roll of thunder.
Dick laughs, and his blueblue eyes flash in the dim light. Not as bright or pure a blue as Superboy's, but so much more striking, and Wally basks in their ( ... )
