Artemis cracks jokes about it, expecting Wally and Robin to smirk and laugh as well, Superboy to be angry since Superman was mentioned, and M'Gann not to entirely get it.
Both Wally and Robin stare at the tabloid, Wally caught between horror and giggles, Robin just BSODing.
Anon can build off this as much as Anon likes. <3

Artemis had a hunch that Robin’s secret identity was no doubt that of a rich heir to some old Gotham family. And that Batman was loaded. Probably both. It would make sense, with all the fancy gadgets they used. But despite being surrounded by the so-called Gotham elites day after day (she still felt ridiculously out of place at school), she had yet to find anyone who reminded her of Gotham’s Boy Wonder.
That kid was either a really good actor, or he was home schooled.
So, this gaming business. Artemis flipped through the numerous discs that had accumulated since the team moved in, looking for the one she recalled Robin and Kid Lame teaching Superboy to play.
Mmm, now that boy was a work of art. Having Superman’s genes definitely helped, not to ( ... )

But when rumors of the Justice League being called in started, followed closely by debates of Superman vs. Batman, Artemis had just about more than she could take. Some rich, spoiled playboy’s woes don’t hold a candle to all the evil super-villains the League has to deal with on a daily basis. As if any of the founding members of the League would come for this. Besides, it was hardly the first time someone attempted to take Bruce Wayne’s life.
Don’t get her wrong, the man was fine to look at, stylish suits accentuating a well maintained figure. Add in the rich inheritance, and it was no wonder women were throwing themselves at him. But Artemis hardly had a good ( ... )

Not that Artemis really cared for the exact nature of Bruce Wayne and the Man of Steel’s relationship, but two good looking men were, regardless of circumstances, two good looking men.
But wow, and to echo the first reporter, who would have thought?
Artemis bit back a laugh, as she turned the situation over in her head. Various questions raced across her mind, like why Superman was in Gotham, and how Batman reacted to another hero trespassing on his territory, and where in the world Superboy was when it all happened. What the others (her teammates, the League, their enemies) thought of this.
On the bright side, this was one assassination attempt foiled. The not so bright side, her classmates would be talking about this turn of events for the weeks to come if she was lucky, months if she wasn’t.
Then again, this was Superman they were talking about, someone widely deemed to be above the carnal desires of mortal men. Pure, godly, and out of reach.
But apparently not that out of reach, if that blush was any indication. ( ... )

"So red-head-who-didn’t-like-her #1 was with red-head-who-didn’t-like-her #2, helping the red-clad superhero of Central City on the other side of the equator."
Your Artemis voice is wonderfully snarky and pragmatic.
"Must be nice."
I like this, because Superboy gets a lot of sympathy for Superman not paying attention to him, but Artemis is stuck in a weird zone too, since there's not much canon info for her real relationship with GA.
Also, Clark/Bruce is kind of my OTP, so Artemis's approval based on aesthetics made me happy...and her questioning Superman's tastes made me laugh, because no one that knows Superman would ever pair him with Brucie. I know it's been a while since your last update, but if you ever do update this, I would really love to read it!

Was checking to see if this post had been updated (alas, no), and noticed a glaringly bad error on my part.
