Bruce Wayne often had guests at his home. Rich guests for some frivolous party, more-tolerable rich guests for some charity function, the important part was that these guests appeared on a certain preset date. The figures on his doorstep now were not in any way expected ( ... )

Richard Grayson was not one to forget details. Normally. He had forgotten a few details in his joy of finally having his best friend over. It was not Wally's appetite, nor Bruce's backhanded revenge for basically inviting Wally to stay without asking Bruce's opinion on the matter. No, he was fully prepared to have to go and pick up extra food to feed the speedster ( ... )

Dick's answer was to sweep forward and scoop up the younger boy in a hug, that somehow made him drop the knives, he had been holding for the entirety of the conversation. "This is Damian Wayne, the baby, so to speak, of the family." Said baby was screaming profanities and thrashing in Dick's arms completely unable to free itself, and being quite vocally annoyed with the situation before he suddenly changed tactics.

"Tt, I get it Grayson, put me down." Dick complied readily.

"Any questions?"

"Yes, actually, the most important question: why is Kid Flash here." Jason said ( ... )

Night had a different feel in The Manor, Wally noticed. The day was filled with rambunctiousness, and the place felt, not small, but not big. Night however made the place seem kind of creepy, the lights cast sharp dark shadows in every corner. The long corridors seemed to go on forever into the darkness, the longer corridors even seemed to twist in the distance ( ... )

Bruce had a nagging suspicion in the back of his brain. It was ridiculous really, there were too many coincidences for this to be planned, surely. But Bruce had never gotten far not being paranoid; so he had to ask. "Dick ( ... )

'What's one more?' Bruce had though three days ago. 'One more' had cleaned out his pantry, and been an unwilling pawn in a scheme by his eldest child's attempts to get him to accept a new partner. 'One more' had caused Jason to be out with him and Dick in the night, which he and Dick had leveraged into a 6-month 'probation' period for the younger boy. 'One more' had ended in his butler, and guardian for most of his years, being covered in some kind of chemical substance that Bruce had never seen before-or indeed at all in the light-that while harmless had caused the older man, and the various prints he left, to glow in the dark.

In short: 'What's one more?' a hell of a lot of fun trouble ( ... )

Same Writer!Anon more ideas for this popped into my brain, so round 2!
----

Wally took a slightly too-vicious bite of his hastily made sandwich. He was not mad. He was not even slightly annoyed. Not that he had to run through this stupidly large mansion looking for his best friend's little demon siblings. Not that he wasn't here because he was Dick's friend, but because he was necessary for some plan Dick had made. No Wally West was not angry at all.

Sandwich finished Wally zipped off to find the wayward brats, he really hoped they were too tired to create any more trouble. He found Damian when he had to suddenly duck to avoid several knives that flew out from the shadows. He zipped behind the crouching, surprisingly well-hidden child and picked him up by his collar ( ... )

In his musings he almost tripped over Cassandra, who came up to him holding a book. Wally smiled down at the young girl. A story, of course. "Bet Dick usually does that but with all the craziness with Jason he forgot, huh?" Wally really tried not to scowl too much when he remembered the real reason he was here. Not some kindness on his uncle's part, or random divine interference, but a plot, knowing Dick really did think of him as friend dulled the pain a little, but it was till highly vexing ( ... )
