Betting Pool anonymous April 6 2011, 04:11:02 UTC
A betting pool is started up around when and how Robin and KF will hook up (because there is so much UST between them, or so people believe).

"20 bucks says next week. We're doing extreme hand-to-hand combat training."

"50 on next month. Wally's school prom is coming up."

"60 bucks they won't by next month. I still believe two guy friends can have a bromance relationship, even one as extreme as theirs."

Bonus: The people who bet (JL too!) try to 'influence' Rob and KF.

Bonusx2: Robin and KF secretly discover the betting pool, and pretend to either maybe hook-up or not (pretend fights, pretend dates etc.), to play the odds as revenge.

If they start dating or not is up to anon!

The key to their plan is a slow and natural build up. The cynicism that comes with superhero work is usually balanced pretty well with a good sense of suspended disbelief. They’re hoping to cash in on that and the more natural the beginning seems the more they’re likely to get away with ( ... )

Batman insists that the team is not a social club.

And it’s not, he knows it’s not.

Still they’re kids and it’s so nice to see Wally hang out with kids his own age in a group setting. Lord knows it has to be hard enough being a teenager without adding superspeed and a secret identity. It’s a pretty good recipe for feeling alienated from your own peers.

So when Wally comes to him to have him chaperon a sleepover (Please, please, please!) and looks at him with big doe eyes his decision is just about what’s good for the kids ( ... )

*laughing forever* I think I can see where this plan is going (along with who really might be interested in who?), and I heartily approve. The mentors deserve the crazy they've unleashed.

Really liked how you fit in the two POVs, so we could see the inside and outside of what was going on. Looking forward to more! (and awww, Barry finding it adorable. Awww!)

Ya I have to admit that after I finished writing Barry's POV I started to feel a little bad for all the things he's going to be put through. He's just such a softy. But there are so many things I'm looking forward to at the end and I can't tell any of you about them until I get there. (Why no I'm not that horrible person that can't keep their mouth shut when they've seen the movie and you havn't. Ok, no, I totally am.) I swear actually knowing how this ends is the best motivation I've ever had.

Hey, no worries! I'm just as happy to actually read the updates as they come over badgering you for spoilers to it. It's really cool that you know how it's going to end. I'm in the middle of two fills right now, and I've got no idea where either of them is going which is kind of very sad, since combined they're almost 20k words of fic!

As said before, I look forward to your updates, whenever you get to them.

See that's the thing no ones actually asking for spoilers but I'm the horrid kind of person who's mouth has to be taped shut so they won't say anything. I keep an having to watch myself to make sure I don't just blab stuff.

At home Artemis has three different alarm clocks set so that they go off in intervals in an attempt to get her up in time for school. More often than not what actually does it is a well placed item thrown at her from the doorway by mother leaving her with ten minutes to get dressed and ready for school ( ... )

“Breakfast is ready,” announces M’gann. Artemis reluctantly leaves her warm perch in Superboy’s lap to claim a chair as everyone gets seated.

We can have a competition suggests M’gann. She floats over plates loaded with pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. A glass of apple juice is in her hand and she passes it to Kaldur. Her fingers linger and she looks down across her eyelashes to smile brightly at him. Kaldur smiles back softly.

Artemis shares a glance with Wally across the table.

It is so on.

There's a little bit of light flirting at the table over breakfast and inside the mental link Artemis takes back up what is quickly becoming her favorite game, Make Wally Blush. It degrades for a minute or two into the two of them trading kicks under the table and stomping on each others feet. She congratulates herself and mentally advances to level two ( ... )

Ah, Artemis pov. Snarky love! Make Wally Blush degrading into kicking was hilarious and so IC.

As far as the butt slap, I'm surprised she didn't pinch it. XD

I'm sorta curious, did I miss when they decided to start using the mental link outside missions? *off to reread*

They started using the mind link when they started up the game of spin the bottle and after that even if they're not being watched right then it wouldn't be to difficult for a curious leaguer to find some footage of them. They've basically put this "mission" into radio silence.

Glad your liking the POV!
