Temeraire Fusion

Want some kind of Temeraire fusion where the Mentors are Dragon Captains and YJ are the Heirs apparent to Captaincy. Play with it as you will just keep it gen please.

Bonus points if Batman's dragon is a Fleur-de-Nuit

Really, really enjoyed this! I loved how you matched the dragons with the team. Kaldur was definitely my favorite, with Artemis a close second. Arrowette lying down and being comfortable too--absolutely adorable.

Thank you! :) Kaldur's, I wrote first, so it felt the freshest of them, and Artemis's bit turned out to be unexpectedly fun for one that I had been stuck on for so long. It was totally inspired by the conversation in the beginning of the first book:

"I am afraid I am not rich enough a partner for you; I will not be able to give you a heap of gold to sleep on."

"I should rather have you than a heap of gold, even if it were very comfortable to sleep on," Temeraire said. "I do not mind the deck."

He said it quite normally, not in the least as though he meant to deliver a compliment, and immediately went back to looking at his clouds; Laurence was left gazing after him in a sensation of mingled amazement and extraordinary pleasure.

Omg, you are amazing. This was an absolute treat to read, and I don't even read the series! I was interested before, but after I've just read this, I realize I NEED to read the actual series. ; A ;

Guh, I can't even choose which part of this is my favorite. Maybe Conner's because omg he's just adorable when it comes to pets. I will die forever if he names his newly acquired ballpet on the show Roly as well. XD Seriously, that would be perfect. Did you plan that on purpose? LOL.

And M'gann! She's so badass here, even if she doesn't quite enjoy what she does. :[ The part about her ignoring the blood spreading in the water beneath her was really... striking. The whole scene with Robin attempting to save the Graysons was perfect as well. I could see it all in my mind--and at the pace you set it up in too!--kind of like how I could almost feel the warmth Artemis was feeling beside Arrowette.

Every time I see someone post on this fic, it makes me feel all warm and gooey with happiness. Though I have to admit, I haven't read the entire series and had to stop at the second book. Hopefully, I'll have more time to continue reading once I get more time to myself, but the problem is that I love the series so much, I always want to read it from beginning to end--I've reread the first book so many times. >And yeah, the Roly thing was totally on purpose. I never got around to writing it, but I was originally thinking Roly would have Superboy's anger issues, but then I was like, noooo, you can't have a fat round dragon with anger issues because it just doesn't go together. So my head-cannon says that Roly is adorkable, and Conner's the one with the (occasional) anger issues. Originally, the name was going to be Bally, but then I was like, "Oh god, that sounds like Wally". And almost went with it anyway, for the sake of bad rhyming jokes
