Turns out Cadmus didn't just clone Superman but Batman as well! While on a mission Young Justice comes across another Cadmus lab this time they happen upon a clone of Batman, or aka Terry McGinnis.

I would love it if some how Superman sees Batman being all super fatherly and awesome with his clone and realizes that maybe he shouldn't be so weary of Superboy. Or, vice versa Batman is weary of his clone and now understands Supermans hesitancy with Superboy.

A/N: I'm basing Cadmus and the Justice League largely on DCAU (with a little bit of DC canon mixed in) and will be retconning/changing the timeline of events a lot. I meant for this to be short, but it sort of grew and evolved into a monster ( ... )

Nice start! I like the integration of some of the DCAU cloning projects, as well as the note that Waller specifically wants a human clone. Interesting that they're giving Project B. Beyond the name "McGinnis" (or a name at all)--would love to see your reasoning for it!

Wonderful beginning! I love Waller's reasoning behind wanting a human clone, it makes a contorted sort of sense and I honestly can't wait to see where you go with this!

Batman wasn’t used to being caught off guard. As one of the only members of the Justice League without superpowers, he was constantly reminded of the handicap he had simply by being human. So he made up for that handicap in other ways- intimidation, stealth, cunning, and skill had always been his true weapons, not his batarangs or many gadgets. The Batman had survived, even thrived, on the streets of Gotham by always being prepared. His very lifestyle stemmed from his ability to anticipate others’ moves, to never (or at least, rarely) be caught off guard.

Of course, there were some exceptions. His first encounter with Joker’s unique brand of sheer insanity was one, his dealings with Selina Catwoman, were another. Meeting Dick had by far been the best, and most notable, occasion he’d been caught flat-footed; coming back to the parked Batmobile to find it completely stripped of its tires, the thief (a child, if the footprints were any indication) long gone had been one of the most humiliating. Despite all these exceptions, he’d ( ... )

Which led to the situation they were in now, staring down the woman who’d come in to claim the Ultimen as property. Preoccupied with defending Long Shadow, the others were missed the bigger, more sinister picture the Ultimens’ existence painted. To clone someone was difficult, but the necessary genetic material was already there, already existed. To create a metahumans with such strong powers was even more difficult; creating superhumans with no preexisting base or genetic structure was nearing impossible, ruinously expensive, and extremely time consuming. The idea that an organization had enough power to fund such a project and create more loose cannons was unacceptable. Cadmus had to be stopped ( ... )

Ack, Flashpoint and I have a love hate relationship, while I love the glimpse we got of Dick and his happy awesome parents I hate what they did with Wally. *grrarrg*

But! I'm liking how this going and the whole prologe is just wonderfully done and very interesting, I will totally be keeping an eye on this one! :D
