Superboy: the Flash family adoptee

After reading the tie-in comic and fills that have SB being adopted by a hero/villain clan, I'd love to see Superboy becoming part of the West/Allen family since Superman isn't smothering SB with familial affection LIKE HE SHOULD BE.

Superboy starts showing signs of developing super speed. Wally helps him, but in the process takes greater notice of how deeply Superman's neglect has hurt SB. The speedster then proceeds to make him a part of his own family.

Would prefer this to have no pairings but this anon would not say no to any hints of SB/MM, SB/Robin, or Roy/Wally.

Bonus:
- the Garricks acting as doting grandparents

- KF having to convince a jealous!Robin that SB is not taking his BFF status or that KF is not trying to 'steal' Superboy

- SB incorporating more red and yellow into his wardrobe

- SB and KF have better in-battle synergy. Batman approves.

Time is a funny thing, especially when when your a speedster. Seconds can stretch on like hours and he can still find himself surprised by how much time has actually passed. Almost two months has passed sense the triggers in Superboy's mind were set off and a whole year sense they first got him out of Cadmus

Aah, I gotta start from the beginning. The fact that Wally's parents used to be really irresponsible and eventually shaped up to normal, I like, because it's hard to see them as outright abusive in this verse. They seemed really normal in Downtime. And the fact that Wally went to Cold for his approval of Superboy? It was adorable, and I especially loved the fact that Cold's "approval look" can be described as twisted up and disgusted. Captain Cold is one of my two favorite villains, so I'm going "awww" at his grrrr-ness. And mentions of Trickster and a dog reminded me of how un-awesome Trickster 2 was. It was mentioned that Cold caught him tying bombs to dogs once, and Cold responded by beating him up and docking his pay. Dooogs.

The parts where Superboy is already treated like a son are adorable, especially how he can't resist the apple pie, gets a sweater, gets his face spit-cleaned by Wally's mom, and The Talk from his dad, it's just great <3

I'm glad that you enjoyed the story because I've certainly enjoyed your review, it gives me all sorts of warm fuzzies. And the Flaming C video game would be epic and wonderful. I think every person on this meme would like one.
