Robin - Imaginary friend, never was actually pretend anonymous October 16 2011, 01:08:30 UTC
When Dick was younger, before and when he was first starting out as Robin, he had this imaginary friend to get him through the pain of loosing his parents and the hardships of becoming side kick to Batman.

Bruce just write it off as a defense mechanism and the imaginary friend was ignored.
Though eventually Robin was teased by Wally and Roy about having imaginary friend, wanting to prove he was a big boy, he let that friend go.

He never forgot about his friend and the thing is, that friend never forgot about him either.

That's why the imaginary friend has come to take him back into what only Robin and the pretend friend could see.

Reality won't loose Dick so easily though when his friends try to get him back.

Also, comiccanonripoffnosaywhatThe first time he sees the boy, he's still a Flying Grayson. This cute little family comes up to them and asks to take a picture with their son, and Dick kneels down and hoists the little boy onto his knee ( ... )

I seriously cannot wait to see more of this. Bringing Tim into this as the "imaginary friend" was an incredible choice. Poor sad and lonely Dick and Tim. The prompt really had a horror-esque feel to it, and now I'm wondering how it'll all play out.

When he first asks Alfred for a second cup of milk for his friend, Alfred almost-smiles, and responds that of course he can, and maybe Master Dick would like to introduce him to this friend? So Alfred meets Tim, and insists on calling him 'Master Timothy', which makes both boys giggle a little ( ... )

So he opens the clock, and the bat flies right at his face. He ducks it, rolls away, and comes up in time to watch it get to the ceiling. Just in time to see the clock raise a tiny bit, and glide to the side, revealing a hidden passage.

His first response is to boggle. His second is to dash back down to the front hall, where Tim has reached, “Thirty-one, thirty-two...”

“Tim!” he hisses, and grabs the boy's shoulder. “Tim, you gotta see this!”

Tim looks up at him, confused. “No, Dick, you're supposed to go hide.”

Dick rolls his eyes, “Thanks, yes, but you gotta come see this!”

Frowning, Tim lets Dick grab his hand and lead him back across the empty hall and up the stairs. The clock is still open, and still open.

“Is that...?” Tim asks, in awe.

“I think so,” Dick whispers back. “It's a secret passageway! Bruce told me this house was old, but I never thought-”

Tim clutches his hand tighter. “Can we go explore it?” he asks, voice high with excitement.

“Of course we're gonna explore it!” Dick cheers quietly. “It's a secret ( ... )
