Things were quiet in Gotham that night. The majority of Batman’s foes, from the Joker to Two-Face to the Red Hood were in Gotham or Blackgate. With two Batmen-Bruce was home from his work with Batman Inc. briefly-a Robin, and a Red Robin out tonight, the sensible criminals were cowering.
But that didn’t mean that Tim had a break though. Paranoia was contagious, after all.
He was standing in Crime Alley over the unconscious body of a mugger, fastening the handcuffs to a street pole, when he heard a noise-a soft thud, like someone trained landing on the ground behind him. He spun around, batarangs in hand.
“Easy kid,” a familiar voice drawled. Jason Todd emerged from the shadows, wearing a blue, black, and white outfit that better suited a hero than the criminal the man had become. “Just me.”
Tim narrowed his eyes. “Nice outfit,” he spat, not leaving his stance.
Todd shrugged, smiling. “What can I say? Time for a change ( ... )
