IMPORTANT A/N: I’ve divided this story into three parts.

Prolog: Signs

This part is dedicated to what happened before the accident with the zeta beam.

To be Normal: The actual fill

Aftermath: once Wally is back together again.

HUGE chunks of all three parts have been finished but will only be posted when fully written.

Warnings: Triggers. Attempted suicide, depression, psychological abuse.

Changed the name from ‘How many Wally’s does it take?’ to ‘To be Normal’ I hope the Prompter doesn’t mind. Thought it fit better.

At some point in time Wally would come into the living room and sit on the couch furthest away from the two men with eyes staring nearly unblinkingly at the television. Then… as time went by Wally would move a little closer to the two men. Each time this happened it would only take Rudolf a little while to get irritated. Why? Barry had no idea. He pulled Wally beside him and threw his arm around the small boy when he and Rudolf watched whatever sport the man found interesting. Rudolf would give him a long hard look of disapproval, but Barry found that Wally’s excited grin was far more satisfying to receive than the man’s acceptance ( ... )

Seeing Barry's thoughts on meeting Wally and all the different interactions he's had with Wally is just so wondeful and amazing and adorable and gives me so many feelings. Thank you! I'm really happy that you like it so much! And I'm happy that you recognized the famly reuniion scene. I had to stop putting up the rest of Signs because everyone was heading out the door to Olive Garden. I hope you like the rest of the backdrop as well. I wanted to show that they're were signs, but they were subtle and that since people don't tend to freak out over little things and don't collaborate with one another about every thing they see that this would be realistic.
