Prompt Post - Part Ten

I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

If there is anything I haven't responded to, as of now, I'm ( Read more... )

Not lying, confirmed, that girl is Cissie King-Jones, AKA Arrowette.

And she saw two badass archers in the moonlight saving her father from dying horribly. There is now a huge fangirl in the making ^-^.

So...followup? Maybe the next day, she's telling anyone with half an ear how she's going to take up archery and how she sketches her own hero outfit and so on...

My mouth dropped. Literally. See it? That's my mouth. Open.

Cissie is the best pony. Seriously. She is amazing and spectacular and full of nostalgia goodness. She has sismance (if it's not a word, it should be) with Wonder Girl and Secret and and and the. best. pony.

Yes, but the only negative is that this means Teen!Cissie will not be showing up and having adventures with the team. Sadface.

Of course, this just confirms my belief that Gar, Perdita, Greta, Billy, and Cissie need to form Younger Justice. :D

This is clearly correct. I might actually just prompt some Younger Justice but I don't want to oversaturate/spam the meme.

No such thing as too much ten year old crimefighters.

Do you think Robin could be their den mother?

Robin should definitely be their den mother and teach them the ways of being an awesome troll while their "I'm just a kid!" immunity still works

Younger Justice is so the best.

I seriously like the way you think, millieniumrex. Now all we need is for Greta to get over her Pokemon obsession, and we're all set.

That Younger Justice thing was elsewhere on this meme, methinks. I'm glad to see its ranks are growing. Do you think we can add the Batfam, who haven't actually appeared in the show but we all know exist anyway?

Agreed. Since this show loves its cameos so much, would it kill them to show us Jason, Steph, Cass, or Tim?

I think the show wants to avoid the convoluted bat succession drama. Dick has enough issues to deal with and he's still young and doesn't seem like he'll be moving on from the Robin title anytime soon so I think a cameo of them would be pointless. The only time I can imagine a cameo though is if they somehow travel to the future.

In that case, I point you towards the wonderful fic on this thread 'Strays' which proposes the idea of each batsib having a different crime-fighting identity. Sunbird, Bluejay, Threstral, etc, etc, with no problems of succession and 100% crime-fighting family adorableness. Or, if you want, Dick could be the only other crimefighter actually in the family. Or you could just have Dick and Jason and make the Joker kill Jason even though I don't know why would would do that you monster.

I get why the show wouldn't really show us them, though. It's distracting, proposes copyright and timeline issues, and is just too awesome to actually happen. It's best to wait for a later time and space out the awesome.

I know of the fic, and it's a wonderful idea but DC always wants their batchildren angsty and full of ~issues~ ... and not of the fun kind :C

But yeah, batchildren would require a bit of explanation and have other issues and the show is already trying to split its attention between so many characters already

Someone needs to write this sometime, and it needs to not be me!
Ugh.
I might get saddled with it anyways.

It was an ordinary night. Cissie King-Jones and Bernell Jones were already getting ready for bed. He was just tucking her in when somebody attacked. It was a man in black. He took her father away from her and sent him falling outside her window. Cissie became scared. Their home, her room, was in the higher part of the apartment building. Her father will die ( ... )
