I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

EVEN THOUGH I AM FILIPINO I AM NOT fluent and I don't write in tagalog so there's going to be a lot of mistakes for fluent Filipino speakers, so I'm rather embarrassed about this and--

Squid.

They're not unusual in the Philippines. A mutant squid the height of Seattle's Space Needle, however, was a different story.

"We just got the mattresses dried from the last flood. Now we'll have to wait again!"

"Honey, we'd be lucky if we even have a house to return to."

Alda huffed, folding her arms across her chest. Her husband sighed from beside her as he slipped his arm around her shoulders. "It'll be fine, love. The Justice League should get that squid under control soon."

"I still say we should light a fire and roast it. We haven't had squid in a whi--"

"Alda! Fred!" Alda looked around at the familiar frantic voice and saw her mother was shoving people away from her path to get to her daughter faster. "Ma? Ma, what's wrong?"

"Is Tin-Tin with you?" Her mother asked, radiating

Oh my God... I too am a Filipino and this is the first time I've heard about this. This is so funny and awesome. And Wally adopting the whole Pikachu thing and Fred wanting to eat the squid. lol XD It's really nice how you incorporate tidbits Filipino culture in the fill (the nicknames, food, ate). Great work!

Sidenote: Hi! Di ko alam na meron na rin palang mga fans ang Young Justice dito sa 'Pinas. Di pa kasi siya palabas sa kahit anong channels eh. lol

Frankly, I hate Google!Fails but this one in particular is something I like! Hopefully they won't fix it because it's so hilarious. Now I cannot stop imagining Batman running around wearing a yellow costume with a Pikachu cowl.

Oh, you can't speak/write Tagalog. Sorry for responding like that. I just got so excited about meeting a fellow Filipino fan. Seems like I'm still the only one. *sigh* Oh well, our numbers will increase once YJ starts showing in here.

You're from Canada? Nice. You're going here on winter break? When is that, December? Sorry, unfamiliar with the four seasons thing.

PS. I read my comment and *facepalm* I was writing a Wally centric when I commented your fill so instead of Robin I typed Wally on the "using Pikachu to Batman". Typo fail

No, no. I can read tagalog, and if I tried I'd proooooooobably be able to write it (with tons of mistakes along the way). I'm sure there are other Filipino fans in Philippines; I'm in the same boat, since I don't know any others who live in Canada that are YJ fans. You just gotta wait~ :)

And yes, it's December~ Well, December's part of winter, but vacations happen during December~

Ahahah, you're in good company. Even though I'm Filipino, the only Tagalog words are "ate", "kuya", "tita" and "tito"...and "taba"... ._.

But anyway, this is just a gem! I grinned at the culture references that I recognized, and the end was just perfect! Pfft, Robin would totally troll him like that.

"taba" is such a cute sounding word, imo. i don't know why. it's just two syllables "ta" and "ba" XD
