I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

The smoke cleared and Artemis looked around the empty street, wishing the falling rubble wouldn’t echo through the air quite so loudly. Skyscrapers reached up to meet a sky devoid of life and full of smoke, the latter rising from fires that had broken out throughout Fawcett City.
A single figure crawled its way from the wreckage of an old apartment building across the street and the archer ran towards it, trying to see who it was through the billowing dust.
It cleared (more quickly than it should have), and she took in a sharp breath. There was something in the figure’s eyes that she’d never seen in Captain Marvel's, much less the ten-year-old in front of her.
Where was the League? Where was her team? If anyone could handle this situation it was... well, anyone but her, really ( ... )
