Prompt Post - Part Ten

Mar 11, 2012 17:03

I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

If there is anything I haven't responded to, as of now, I'm ( Read more... )

Sometimes, Megan Morse feels like an alien. It isn't that she isn't popular, because she is, but there's just something missing. All her life, something missing: a silence in her head. Her body is wrong, all wrong (even if everyone on the cheer squad tells her she's pretty). It's her most closely guarded secret: that everything about her and everything about the world is wrong ( ... )

I want this so bad. Are Robin's parents still dead? Did he still get adopted by Bruce? Does he know Wally or do they live too far away for their friendship to be probable?

Ahh, so many questions.

Seconded.

Yesyesyes.

Okay, I am doing something that *kinda* fills this. Not really. The YJ is just a few random kids picked for an experiment in how the mind reacts to complex illusions; the real world would be like this. But I'm really stuck, so it might be a while.

But, but that's sad if the real world is the one without awesome. I hope you get unstuck, though, just for the premise, which is sweet.

Filled! This part doesn't actually fill the prompt, the next chapter or so should. Also, does anyone have a link to the prompt I was talking about before that this also fills? I've lost it.Kaldur blinked gradually awake, feeling incredibly groggy and a bit strange, even in sleep ( ... )

An intern rushed into Dr. Zoe Schmidt's office.

She turned eagerly, even got up from her chair. ″Do you have the results from the Young Justice project?″ She said, her whole being radiating excitement. She had put together the entire project, overseen everything, and she could hardly believe it was due to end - or start, depending on your point of view - soon. It would be revolutionary. She could feel it in her bones.

The intern hesitated for a split second. He'd been there for the entire project too, and he, too had had high hopes. He hated to crush hers.

″Dr. Schmidt, it's terrible. The subjects, they actually believe that they're superheroes! It's very interesting from a psychological standpoint, and of course we will have to study this more, but the fact is we've got nine teenagers in this hospital completely convinced that they had powers, and somehow we've stolen them. They're panicking ( ... )

No, no, no - saaaaaaadddddd.

This is like harry waking up after the final battle and finding himself in the cupboard under the stairs (my secret fear for years) - this is sad.

Interesting. You're not using the bonus where Robin retains his skills.

This is an excellent start. Looking forward to more!

I'm sorry about that. I already had an idea when I got this, so a few things may not exactly match up. I might encorporate that, though.

Thank you!

Her mind felt empty and her body felt wrong.

She didn't mean that her mind was empty in that she was stupid. Megan knew she wasn't, exactly. Maybe sometimes she focused more on cheer leading and her social life than school, but she wasn't dumb.

And it wasn't like she thought she was ugly, either. She liked the way she looked, and yet, somehow, it was... off ( ... )

Somewhere along the way, they realize their parents, guardians, (mentors) are tense, uneasy.

They are too.

They're not quite sure why.

It's a mystery.

Once upon a time, they solved mysteries. Didn't they?

When was that, again?
