I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

Fill 2 - Neverland 1/2

Billy Batson is waiting in an alley near his old stomping grounds when he spots the all-too-familiar dark shape of Batman’s cowl in the shallow shadows ahead of him. He looks up and breaks out into a grin when he sees the pointy-eared cowl retreating from the ledge. Quickly ducking around the next corner, he finds himself facing a dead end. The shadows here are deeper than anywhere else in Fawcett City, but as deep as they are, they do nothing to conceal Batman. In fact, it’s almost like the very shadows themselves shy away from him because he is not a part of Fawcett City and does not belong here.

“Oh, you have a new costume!” Billy says, doing a double take. “It looks awesome! I wish I could make mine look cool

Fill 2 - Neverland 2/2

“Really, I do,” Billy adds, trying to calm down and be cool and mentor-like, “Want to, that is. Do you know who’s going to be on the team?”

Batman gives him one of those smirks, like he’d known all along Billy was going to accept, and nods. “A few have already joined - Kid Flash, Robin, Aqua-“

“And what’s the team going to be called?” Billy interrupts, eagerly. Oh man, he’s always dreamed of working with those guys! They were so cool on the news and, if the rumors were true, Robin isn’t much older than him to boot!

Batman gives him a strange, undecipherable look. “We’re thinking about calling it Young Justice.”

“Yes! This is going to be so cool!” Billy says, pumping his fist in the air and bouncing on his feet. “I can’t wait to get started

Haha, oh man, Young Justice v2 is probably founded on the unholy combination of Irey West, Damian Wayne, Arthur Curry Jr, and Lian Harper.

Ooh, this one gave me chills. Especially since Billy is so unaware. He's even forgotten about the previous Young Justice, so he won't know that anything's different. But at least here, he doesn't have to go through all the heartbreak of everyone growing up and away from him.

If Fawcett City is Neverland, then doesn't that mean nothing changes in the whole city and no one grows up? Otherwise, how does Billy not notice? Or will he simply not be able to see Uncle Dudley age, and then when he dies, will he just forget?

Dick smiles way too much for Batman!

Exactly. He probably never will even notice that Batman is different when Dick retires from the cowl.

Well, change in Fawcett City is slow and seeps in, and of course everyone forgets that it was ever a change to begin with because the enchantment tells them that it's always been there. But yes, you are right, no one ages or dies or much seems to notice that the mailman and store clerks have been the same person since 1940.

Mercifully, this means the entire city also forgets ever sporting 80s mullets.

That was intentional, as the first hint it's Dick.
