Prompt Post - Part Ten

Mar 11, 2012 17:03

I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

If there is anything I haven't responded to, as of now, I'm ( Read more... )

Repressing Trauma (Spoilers for various episodes) anonymous March 12 2012, 01:02:29 UTC
So I think that Wally is willfully repressing the trauma he's going through.
Kent Nelson dies protecting Wally and Wally acts completely normal afterward
Artemis dies in an end of the world scenario and while he reacts as it happens he refuses to talk about it afterward

And those are just the two I can think of off the top of my head.

So what other trauma is he hiding? And what happens when he finally cracks and has a meltdown?

Bonus: It's Superboy who first notices something isn't right

Thirded.

Oh... and in Coldhearted... notice how he, once again, reacts in the moment to the girls death but then when he talks to dick he acts completely normal while on the inside it's a totally different story?

Why the hell does Wally have such different emotions on the inside than how he reacts on the outside?

Yeeeees, please! Fourthed, because in every other incarnation of Wally West I've seen, he's all "You used to be evil/betrayed us to evil aliens? Lol kay wanna be a good guy now?" Really. He's usually buddy-buddy with his Rogues, was the first one to forgive Shayera in the JL cartoon, in TT his only appearance was centered around recruiting Jinx into being a good guy simply because she was different (read: hot). But in YJ he's all "grrr Artemis mistrust" and initially all "Grr antagonize Supey when I first meet him just cause." I think this was prompted back in part nine. So not only is this Wally colder and less trusting, but he's got some unexplained denial problems. And these are connected.

AH KNOWS THEY ARE.

So yeah, anions should run with it because denial!Wally needs to be explored.

triggers for child/sexual abuse anonymous March 12 2012, 02:34:52 UTC
Billy (Captain Marvel) was abused sexually at some point in his childhood (not by Uncle Dudley, please), but he hides it and masks the resulting mental scars with his usual optimism and not a small amount of repression.

He thinks he's left all that ugliness behind him until a fellow league member begins casually flirting with him one day as Captain Marvel. They don't know he's ten, and don't mean any harm, but Captain Marvel freaks out and has such an extreme reaction that shocks/frightens a few other league members.

Doesn't matter whether or not there's any fallout or revelations to Jutice League or Young Justice members at the end.

“Do you like that, Billy?” The voice was the same, never changing, that cold, creepy voice that made him wish for earplugs, headphones, something to block it out and retreat in himself, even as the hand twisted twisted twisted, and he let out a broken half gasp, half sob, turning his head to bury it in his arm ( ... )

Daddy's little girl anonymous March 12 2012, 03:37:56 UTC
Years in the future Zatara manages to free himself from Nabu, but has no idea how long it's been since he put the helmet on.

Cue him being shocked at how old his baby girl now is, and distraught at missing so much of her life.

Bonus: He tries to keep her away from men like he did when she was younger and Zatanna doesn't know whether to laugh or cry; 'Dad that's WALLY! He's like a brother to me, please stop looking at him like you think he's going to throw me down and have his wicked way with me!'

TL;DR: Zatarra is freed from the helmet, is shocked and distraught by how much time has passed, and him and Zatanna try to reconnect with varying degrees of success.

Need Moar Tony Stark anonymous March 12 2012, 04:36:49 UTC
I have been watching way too much Avengers-related things and ran across this prompt in part 3 AND NEEDED IT LIKE WHOA

http://yj-anon-meme.livejournal.com/1801.html?thread=4079625#t4079625

"Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark have known each other for years. They often go to the same parties, so he knows Dick pretty well too. They get along terrifyingly well. At some point, Tony stays over at the manor for a few days (up to you the reasons why). Cue massive sexual tension between Tony and Bruce, jealous!Clark, Tony and Dick being immature trolls, and Wally being horrified and sick with envy that his best friend knows the Tony Stark.

Bonus points if Tony tries to give thirteen year old Dick girl/boy advice, and for awesome Alfred Pepper interaction."

Primarily I want to see the Tony + Dick being immature trolls and Alfred + Pepper interaction

"-Tony can't take care of himself like a normal human being. Unquote. Besides, he wanted to check up on the systems here anyway." Robin said to his team while Iron Man of all heros swore and banged things around while looking at a control panel the team never touched by order of Batman ( ... )

I'm probably the latest ever to this party, but please continue? I saw there were no comments adoring this and the situation is simply not acceptable for this level of awesomeness and trolling/shipping potential. Can I have more? *hopeful*

All Coon friends report to base. I'm so seriously. anonymous March 12 2012, 05:08:57 UTC
So, things haven't been so normal (as normal as normal can get) for the young justice team these past few missions. Lately they've run into these badass 4th graders dressed up in costumes, calling themselves the Coon and Friends. These missions never seem to end like they plan, always resulting in something strange or outrageous.

Please no aging up on the SP kids, and is there any way to bring Prof. Chaos into the mix?
