Prompt Post - Part Ten

Mar 11, 2012 17:03

I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

If there is anything I haven't responded to, as of now, I'm ( Read more... )

Episode 21 Spoilers yj_tracker March 12 2012, 06:34:03 UTC
Was it just me, or did anyone else feel horribly disturbed that Megan and Superboy just DESTROYED 3 PLANES LIKE BAM? And I saw no pilots evacuating. So whoever was operating those planes DIED. And then Megan also kinda like. Mentally killed Psimon ( ... )

Well, considering they're focusing on showing Robin's growth as leader, and how far he's obviously come from 'Failsafe', this seems like a very reasonable approach. Kaldur talks to his team about their actions having consequences, so why not Robin?

And with Robin's 'no kill' policy (Dick Grayson is repeatedly shown to be fighting the good fight only for the sake of justice, no personal motives like revenge or proving to himself he can do good, or even because he can and so he should), this seems a very logical thing for him to do.

Third. Because Dick Grayson is an excellent leader, and Robin is growing into one.

The planes were pilotless drones

A prayer for... Dick Grayson anonymous March 12 2012, 09:10:07 UTC
Robin is so little that sometimes he just gets picked up and passed around from person to person, in spite of protests.

Gen (or maybe slight KF/Rob), please.

Batman + Robin, post-Misplaced...normalness? anonymous March 12 2012, 10:18:38 UTC
I'd like to see a post-Misplaced!fic that doesn't feature Batman and Robin having a tearful reunion or any sappy emotional exchanges, because dude, seriously, not their thing

Also I just sort of think it'd be funny if the two of them watched all the heartfelt reunions going on around them, shrugged, then went off to share a beer or something

and then they walk by Zatanna crying and it's awkward oops

Oh, I think the reason the two of them would never have a heartfelt reuinion was because of how forbidden the 'l-word' is in their relationship.

If Bruce felt anything at all, which he probably did, the pain at the thought of losing Dick would have terrified him and caused him to distance himself from Dick as much as possible, because he does not know HOW to deal with emotions like that. He'd rather avoid Robin and keep himself detached so he won't have to feel the pain of loss...again ( ... )

Eh

I mean yeah I can see where you're coming from, and Bruce definitely has his ways of showing Robin he cares, but I saw it as more like a trust thing in this particular instance, not a repression one

They weren't all that worried about being separated because they each knew that the other could handle themselves in a crisis, and they had every confidence that they would fix the situation and see each other again soon enough

So it wasn't a big deal when they got reunited because they never doubted it was going to happen

Here's something you don't see every day... anonymous March 12 2012, 14:14:34 UTC
"Mm?" was the first sound Robin managed when he stirred. The acrobat blinked and rubbed his eyes, feeling the tender skin on his knuckles stretch where cuts from the glass shards were already scabbing over. All was dark; Wally's nebulous outline wavered in his line of vision.

"Rob. Hey. Welcome back, dude."

Robin let a small groan escape his lips. "How long've I been out? The sun's set..." His voice wavered and faded off at Wally's silence.

"Rob?" And the speedster's voice was strained. "It's still freaking midday."

The implications of the statement sunk in slow and painfully.

"You... can't see me, can you?"

Run with it, anons.

Ah, a blind!Robin prompt that's not AU. But considering he can still see outlines, it sounds like his vision isn't completely impaired, so hopes for a happy ending?

Hearily seconded.

Koi Love anonymous March 12 2012, 15:26:48 UTC
Roy's a bachelor that lives alone in his apartment. Thinking he's lonely and needs a pet, Wally gives him a very beautiful fish. But knowing Wally, Roy wants to know where it's from and Wally's like "Dude, it's cool. Dick found this great carnival and it was pretty cheap-here!"

So, Roy's got no choice now but to take care of the fish. He's had it for a couple of nights, but then one night it turns into a very exotic person.

Said person says his name is Kaldur'ahm and he'll be living with him from that day on.

Roy is so not amused.

Bonus: Dick knows what kind of Fish that Wally gave to Roy.
Double Bonus: It is traditional for said Fish-people to marry their owners.
Triple: Roy has a girlfriend (random unnamed if you like)

Oh my goodness. Go Wally! And Dick, since it was his fault to begin with. How could he not notice what Wally was buying!

Kaldur the fish-boy, literally.
