I think I really am ahahaha. I'm looking for frames now cause they all really need to be one my wall and not carefully tucked away xD <3 <3

Also, I am far more in love with his scruff than I should be, I'm sure.

Ooh, Mr. Eames. I can hear the sound of bodices ripping and men turning gay right now.

I love how you render his nose, and I swear I say this every time but he has a really nice nose that also seems like it'd be really hard to capture on paper. And because I'm a nerd, I'm also intrigued by the title and why you chose it.

In re: the title - glottophagy is an obscure term which refers to language death, coined by Calvet (hence the French spelling). When I think about Eames as a character, I typically do it in terms of an examination of the kind of idea of selfhood that would have to exist in order for someone to slip into other skins and personas so easily. Language is so intimately intertwined with the idea of identity that I don't know if they could exist separately, and yet at the same time the language we use to describe our own identities typically feels incomplete, lacking, unspecific, and is rarely translatable from our mother tongues. So on one level, there's that, and on the other level, there's also the idea that glottophagy specifically refers to rare languages being overtaken by more common ones, which is how language death often occurs, and that's often influenced by colonialism, which was a main tenet of the British empire, so there's that as well; in one way Eames represents a culture which has perpetrated erasure on many others, and yet ( ... )
