I guess I've talked myself into it...

I've been trying to write out one of my numerous fic ideas recently. Hopefully there will be people in the lj community that will enjoy such an eclectic crossover. This story involves Rurouni Kenshin, Yu-Gi-Oh, Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, and is set in Lord of the Rings. It's also based more on the LotR books, including The Silmarillion, than on the ( Read more... )

Anime and Lord of the Rings??? Woo-hoo! And I thought I was ambitious crossing LOTR and Harry Potter. ^_^

By all means, do go on. Unfortunately while I'm an anime fan, I'm an old anime fan and haven't watched any new stuff for years. I cut my teeth on Starblazers (Yamato), Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999, Gatchaman, etc. But I'm always up for something new.

I'm afraid those are a bit before my time. I watched a bit of dubbed Galaxy Express 999 once, and found it hopelessly bizarre. On the other hand, I don't really keep up with new stuff either--most of my faves are more in between. Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Slayers, Dragonball Z, Card Captor Sakura, Rayearth--I prefer a very odd mix of shoujo and shounen.

Still, I'm flattered that an author of your accomplishment would be interested. I'll be posting the first 2 chapters in the next few days, though chapter 3 has been bugging me for weeks now. This is shaping up to be fairly epic in size, like most of my fic ideas.

I do love Inuyasha and anything by creator Rumiko Takahashi, like Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura.

Heh, I'm before a lot of people's times. ^_^ I think I was introduced to the concept of fandom back in the late 70's in college, so that tells you something. I didn't see any anime though till 1982 or so.

I'll also admit a liking for Pokemon, at least the translated manga version I've seen. Pikachu is so cute. And clefaries. (blush)

You're not alone in the 'incredible growing story' category. Good luck with the tale - the point is to have fun and enjoy the process.
