who, exactly, Victoria Vicotoire was, as JKR said in the Today Show interview aired today, Bill and Fleur's eldest.

Oh, and we're supposed to get an Encyclopedia ... maybe ... in the future at some point to give us all the info we crave.

That would be both wonderful and dreadful. Wonderful in that I want to know more (like is Lavender Brown still alive,) and terrible in that it gives us fewer uncertainties to play with. Nice to know who Victoria was though. Thanks!

I also felt like Remus and Tonks both dying was... possibly excessive. It's like she built them up as parents just to leave their baby an orphan.

I loved Dumbledore's back story, especially the fact that he was a flawed human being.

I briefly wondered whether Teddy would turn into some kind of Harry-figure. Rinse and repeat. But it didn't seem to happen.

Yeah, and tbh I'm quite glad of that!

I can see why she did it, to get Harry in the emotional place he needed to be for that stage of the book he needed to see somone else dead, other than Fred. Killing off another weasely would have been a bit too much, so it had to be someone else. And Remus and Tonks were good contenders for that. But I do think there may have been other ways around it.

Yes, Dumbledore really became an interesting character in his own right in this book. I love it!

I agree with most of that. I'd go into greater detail, but I'm afraid that I'm pretty much written out at the moment when it comes to Harry Potter.

:)

Most of my thoughts are in comments on my Friends' journals, though, rather than in my own.
