I dearly hope it will hold when you go back and read it again. :) Surprising people is actually much easier than making them go "oh, okay, yeah, there were indeed a few clues" and what I fought the most about was how to put some foreshadowing before the end, so I desperately hope it at least shows so I can have a B for effort :p
Thank you so much for leaving such a nice comment in any case, I'm delighted you enjoyed the plot twist! ♥

The dark blue eyes, on second read through, for one. But daaamn, did I miss it. Absolutely chilling, in the best way.

Oooo that twist hurts in all the right places. Seriously. I was confused as 'Sherlock' at the start, but wow. Loved this.

Wow, thank you so much, you are too kind! :) It's very interesting that you were confused at the beginning - did you sense something wasn't right? My guess was that Moriarty with amnesia and Sherlock with amnesia wouldn't be so different but I did try to put a few foreshadowing clues and I wasn't sure if it worked ^^
Thanks a thousand times for the awesome comment in any case ♥

I knew there was something wrong when John said “You’re a bit damaged, but I think I can still see you…Sherlock.” but I didn't figure it out until the last bit with Mycroft. Chilling. Well done!

You must be the second person to tell me you felt something was off, bravo! And to understand as soon as Mycroft spoke. I guess the fic was a bit too short for people to understand what had happened before the end, I kind of cheated :p
So very gald you thought it was well done, thank you so much for the awesome comment ♥

I know! I feel like a horrible person for doing this to him :(
Ironically I really wasn't looking to write some angst. I just had this vague idea of an amnesia fic where the person who wakes up gets fooled about their identity by someone and we get fooled along them, and then this sort of wrote itself.

If you don't like the implications, just do what I do - tell yourself Sherlock is just pretending to be dead, Reichenbach-style, and will come back as soon as he hears what happened. And then Moriarty will remember but he won't go back to a life of crime and they'll live happily ever after and won't ever get bored ever again :p

In any case, thank you a thousand times for taking the time to comment, you're awesome ♥
