Hands down one of my favorite rape-fics ever. EVER. Because you did it with great realism and perfectly intertwined it with canon and an upset Mark, an overprotective Wardo, and a repeat offender Sean are exactly how it would go. I believe this down to my toes.

(I would caps-lock, but rape fics are not something to squee about. Just seems inappropriate, y'know? But know my inner caps lock is going strong, because you do everything amazingly.)

As in, you amaze me. Lindsay and Anna are perfect OCs and Sean works as he does in the movie and Eduardo is so sweet but so overbearing (doting, like Jesse says) and Mark is so nervous (I love the tidbit about how he realized a nerd would only be outside pretty girls' windows to stalk them, and then he blushes, 'cause sometimes I think people forget he's still got that complex.) and scared and stoic because he doesn't want to be, because it's too close, too much, just too everything.

I've read this story about nine times, too. Because you do so much with the characters that even if rape-fic ( ... )

<333 thank you so much!!!

and i am so sorry to hear about your personal experiences with this bb :(. i really wanted to not trivialize the experience, but i did have some moments while writing like, "god this is maybe not a good thing to do..."

this is such a sweet, flattering comment. i'm glad you thought it was in character and flowed well and you believe it, that really means a lot to me!!

You are so welcome! :D

It's pretty awful, yeah, but I think it's cathartic to read something as well written as this about it. You really did capture the realism of it. The always wondering if they're okay and the wanting to be really nice but not wanting anything to change so that they don't feel uncomfortable, the police being basically useless anyway and almost nobody believing the victim...it's kind of discouraging, but it's real. I like that you really addressed all sides of this; it upholds all the truths I thought about you, and I'm happy with it. :)

Thank you so much, lady, but yeah. I thought you deserved it, because I did, I could watch the movie again and see that little zipper pull where you could tug it and suddenly the universe is this one. That's how good you are!

This is such a well-written story about a very touchy subject. I think you handled it really well, and you kept Mark in character on top of it all. Impressive!

This is so odd to say but you wrote noncon with heart? And thats gotta be hard to do. My heart went out to Mark and I loved Wardos protectiveness. Well written story on such a rough topic.

thanks for writing

Oh this is just lovely and I absolutely love how you handled each character and the after affects of the rape with Mark. There are so many brilliant lines in this and it's so realistic but this just has to be my favorite thing ever:

Mark looks down, and it hits him then, how young they are. Eduardo’s just a kid crying into his knees. They’re so fucking out of their depth.

It's so true, and so realistic that they'd basically revert back to their actual age, because the whole Facebook thing just ages them, when something that big and unexpected happens.

This was so brilliantly written, I usually stay away from non con but since you wrote it, I knew it'd be good and of course it was.

This is wonderful - I usually stay away from fics that discuss rape because of my own personal experience, but this rang so true and in character. Mark was still Mark, and Eduardo was still Eduardo under the situations you've put them through. I've loved Lindsay as well, a strong female character Mark could relate to and be able to trust. Your story is great, I was pretty much a goner since the title (bon iver!).
