I wrote 29 half-baked book reviews - somewhat shy of my goal of 50, but a respectable amount none the less. I read a little more than I reviewed, and to be honest I'm surprised I read that little. I always thought I read more. Huh.

Nano is an almost-fail. I'm stuck at 18,000 words, but that's the most I've ever written and I'd like to finish the story. It needs some serious work to even share with friends, but it's a something. A start. And I'd like to not break a promise to myself.

I hate waiting. Both Lost Souls and A Stop on the Road should be returning with a yea or nay by the end of November, and I'm really hoping that Lost Souls gets back before the 30th so I can toss over to Tesseracts 14 if it doesn't get accepted. Now this is just cool. While I don't think I'd like to live in it myself, I really love that someone had the creativity and guts to build a house in a giant snail shell pattern. And I adore that front stained glass window.

The best part of my job is the field work, or, as I like to say, "Wandering around looking for old shit". Unfortunatly the last week I've spent in a hotel without internet, and was therefore reacquainted with the evils of television.

Day one had 3,300 words - phew! Mainly because I will have no time what so ever to write tomorrow, so I had to do two days in one. Anything I write tomorow will be a bonus.

Plus there was gelato and friends and tea, so all in all it was a good day.
