If someone posts something in a Friends Locked post - and you push them to the point of freezing a comment thread? No matter how much you want to keep voicing your opinion - it is in seriously poor judgment to then go and make a public post in your own LJ alluding to & quoting directly to that LOCKED post and thread in order to dredge up the ( Read more... )

some people seem to think "locked post" means "it's okay to share what you posted if I think it shouldn't have been locked"

and the moron was self-righteous enough to continue believing that what he did was acceptable and defensible...
I guess I err in my judgment from time to time of who should and shouldn't be given access! :P

Ooo.. see, its the quoting part that is nasty about that.

If someone uses their journal to talk about an issue that was raised in that comment thead/post.. that's fine, but to talk about the specific post (or person) is really lame and bad form.

yep...

It's one thing to say "someone else was posting about Subject X, and it got me to thinking..." and another entirely to say "someone else posted 'xxxxx' and here's why it pisses me off, and why s/he is wrong."

But some people just don't get the concept of 'I'm allowing you to see this, but it's not public, even if you think it should be - or it wouldn't bother you if it was.'
