Well, I can't say anything about his (the author bio referred to Erastes as a he) writing as I have only read this book, but the book was pretty disappointing to me.

The amount of dark, sad obstacles in the way of True Love which kept getting more and more darker and sadder kinda dulls your empathy towards the events. By the end it was like, oh hum, rape, murder, random acts of violence? Wake me when it gets interesting.

Sorry to hear about how they treated your sister. Not everyone likes the same cup of tea. Fortunately for me, taking up a tiny part of the Internet means I don't get much drive-by commenting or flames, haha~

I first started getting really annoyed with the book when the seme got injured.

I wouldn't say there's where I first got really annoyed, but I thought that the uke falling for the seme's vulnerable sleeping face was too far a leap. I mean, he didn't like the guy, and the seme wasn't redeeming himself with charming behaviour to anyone apart from expensive gifts so falling for his sleeping face when you hate a person is a bit too far-fetched IMHO.

Also, I don't get not being able to keep it in their pants just coz they're guys. This would also mean that half a heterosexual couple also can't keep it in their pants, not just gays.

I haven't read any from Erastes and I fail on knowing gay novels internationally ><

but anyway based on your review, it seemed that Erastes generalizes men. Yes, men are usually like that, but not all men are like that... sheesh ><

It seemed that they are too many incident that is not necessary on this particular plot. They think it's really good to put these element but at the end, it'll look dragged and rush of the ending >

I normally stalk review sites or amazon lists for recs. ^_^

Yes, it seems that Erastes thinks all gay men will want to sleep with any other good-looking guy. I understand appreciating beauty/hotness but just because you appreciate it doesn't mean you immediately want to sleep with it.

Yes indeedy. It seemed like 241 pages were full of woe and scenes of increasingly tragic value until you feel like laughing instead coz it was getting a bit ridiculous.

there's some stories still have element of mysteries, but they it is still straight to the point.

This is not BL but I think Count of Monte Cristo still have mysteries but it is straight to the point...
