Good show sir, good show!
Sherlock Holmes -- Best Movie Ever!!
Or at least, best movie I've watched this year.
Pros : Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, English, walking stick/hidden sword, Gladstone, Holmes & Watson (yum!), Mary, co-habitation, House flashbacks, scruffy beard, Moriarty
Cons : Holywood-ization of Sherlock Holmes (hand-to-hand combat? scruffy appearance? hot Watson? Not that I'm complaining mind you)
House fans should definitely watch it, I had fun detecting the similarities. I suspect the script writer may have been a House fan. The characterization of Holmes and Watson seem more based on House than the original Holmes. I mean, Holmes and Watson co-habit together, or live next door together in the same apartment, Holmes is making life difficult for Watson when he's moving out to get married, they apparently share clothes (even House hasn't reached this level of co-dependancy), and the snark so characteristic of House and Wilson's relationship.
Loved the setup for a sequel involving Holmes' greatest enemy -- Moriarty. Can't wait!
