4 more days to Adam's concert! Can't wait~~
Malaysian! Why, you might ask? Well, I was at this Adam forum reading through the updates on concert news and there was a little brou-ha-ha over protesters and "good behaviour agreements" due to some comments which did not really show the full picture.
So certain comments mentioned about protesters and how Adam's management had to sign a "good behaviour agreement" before he could come to perform. So there were many comments saying that Adam did not have to come to Malaysia if he had to be prejudiced against that way.
But other comments straightened the story by explaining that international artists had to sign that agreement when they want to perform in Malaysia, not just Adam. And they can only perform if they agree to sign it. Most notable are the clothing restrictions, especially for female performers. If I'm not mistaken, Mariah Carey had to sign it as well, and ended up performing in a t-shirt and jeans [perhaps in silent protest].
And yes, there has been no official media coverage on any protests for his concert. I hope they don't show up to protest when he arrives, coz that would give a really bad impression of our country to him. They should really increase security there and possibly prevent anyone that looks the least bit suspicious from entering. (They're probably easily identifiable anyway, most likely with beards).
Ah, but that would be discriminating against all people with beards, similar to what US is doing at customs, or France with their veil ban. And that is what the protesters are discriminating against Adam, just because he likes other men. So why can't we all just get along? Can't we agree that everyone is different therefore we have different preferences and we should not discriminate just because someone looks/acts different from what we are used to?
The world would be a much better place to live in if we're not too busy protesting against every single thing in life. You should enjoy life while you're alive, as I highly doubt you can "experience" anything once you're dead, no matter what people believe about life after death.
