For me, I think it's the opposite.
If you lose your pride then you lose your sense of self in a way.

..which is why you shouldn't sacrifice it for just anybody. i get what your sayin, but at the same time if you go through life always stuck on your ways, good things might pass you by. i guess it depends on the situation though.
